I wouldn't take my dog to him. He is responsible for a very dear person to me being hurt. Disagreeing with everything the specialist said.

I was with Dr Munroe for years and then had to change doctors for a reason unrelated to him. Thankfully, I was able to go back to him when my circumstances changed. I trust him 100% and feel that his diagnostic skills are fantastic. It's true that his bedside manner wasn't all that great in the early days but he has improved drastically over the past 5+yrs- so much that you'd think he was a completely different person. He's kind, caring, attentive, organized, etc. Very genuine and always helps me to make the best decision for me. He does not push medications on me but is clear about their importance when he prescribes them. I've often felt that his concern for my health is very protective and he always seems on top of things. He always "remembers" my whole history when I do go see him even if it's been a year since my last visit. He's punctual and I rarely ever sit more than 5 mins in his waiting room. Once for 45 mins and he was extremely apologetic. I hope I never lose him again!

Dr. Munroe has ben my doctor for over ten years. He is always attentive and listens to my concerns fully before he responds with any kind of options for treatment. He is very honest, makes sure I understand everything before I leave his office. I find that sometimes he can seem a bit condescending but I don't think he intends to give that impression. Overall, he is very patient and does not just throw medications at a problem but researches, discusses with me and we make a decision together. I find that this approach makes my health care a partnership rather than someone telling what to do without getting my input on treatment as well. I feel very supported by Dr. Munroe.

I have been a patient of Alan for many years now.He gets better with age ! First he was sort of shy but now opens up & chats at length. He has matured into a knowledable, caring & helpful doctor. I hope i never lose him !

I too used to see this doctor when I was younger (in my teens). I highly recommend this man. I have since moved around throughout the Maritimes and must say a good doctor like him is difficult/nearly impossible to find.

I miss Dr Munroe! I had him as a DR from the age of 3 or so and unfortunately moved to Fredericton. I have a great Dr here, but Dr Munroe is a hard catch these days! Great humanitarian, punctual and extremely knowledgeable!

I don't think that I have sat for more than 10 minutes in Dr. Monroe's waiting room. Usually when I arrive, I am brought right in. I think he is GREAT. He would never prescribe you any type of drugs or treatment unless he thought it was absolutely necessary. For every situation that I have brought my family to see him for, he has taken the time to explain everything clearly and also list EVERY possibility as to what it is and how he can help. I always feel satisfied with his explanation. I have been "squeezed in" without an appointment when I was worried about one of my children and you cannot get that from many doctors.

He has made the visit to the doctor with my apprehensive daughter bearable and almost enjoyable. He really knows how to deal with agitated children.
