Very knowledgeable, caring and precise Doctor. He would provide undivided attention to whatever health problem you had. Sent on to specialists, etc. when necessary.

Dr.Schonken is a one of a kind dr. He is very caring about his patients he always took time to listen n get u what u needed for tests .I really wish he would come back full time.GREATEST DR. N HUMAN BEING i have met.

I have seen Dr Shonenwhen my regular Dr was on holidays. He is wonderful and listens and gives you time to tell him what your concern is. He is an excellent with diagnosing. He is one of the best doctors I have ever seen.

He is one of the best Dr. I have seen in a very long long time. He listens to you and understands what you are dealing with. Stuff that I have been doctoring with for years with family dr. and he nailed it and starting the appropriate treatment.

I only got the pleasure of seeing Dr. Shonen a couple of times in walking clinics and I have to say he is one of the nicest Dr's I ever saw. He is kind, friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely concerned about the patients he sees. I highly recommend him☺

Dr. Schoken is a fantastic doctor I was sad that he was moving away. I always try to see him when he is in the clinic not only does he want to know how I'm doing but will always ask how the rest of the family is. The staff at the desk are rude they don't smile and they treat you like ur nothing escially the one that answered his line when u called they really need to get rid of those girls and get some younger ones and happier ones in

Though the fact that Dr. Schonken was going to move back to South Africa was apparent for a while, it was last week when I got to know that he has returned, and will only be seeing patients to fill in vacation time of other doctors when absolultely necessary. I couldn't help but feel a sense of loss...in a burgeoning city with only a handful of doctors of his class, his departure brings a void that will be very very hard to fill. Not only is he brilliantly competent, but also a gentleman to the core. Once we chatted a litle about his experiences in S. Africa and how he stood up to atrocity and my respect for the man went up a further few notches. It is time for our government to recognize his services..perhaps a Saskatchewan Order of Merit? While on that, his clinic is also blessed with some of the most competent and nice admin staff - Margaret and Cathy come to mind.
