He is the best doctor I've ever had! He listens to me and answers all of my questions. He never rushes me through my appt. I would never go anywhere else.

Been going to Dr. Blanke for years and have always in the past been thrilled he is my Dr. Recently however, he is starting to change quite a bit. He has his wife working for him who comes into the room for each exam which is very uncomfortable and I feel very unprofessional. He rushes you through the appointment now and doesn't want to hear any other possible alternatives that are not his own. If you take up to much of his time he gets rude. My last appointment I basically kept my mouth shut and let him do what he needed to do and he seemed very happy. I hate it but I am looking for a new doctor.

You know, my dear friend (may she RIP) TOLD me to go to him. It was a nightmare from day one. No respect. No compassion. To read reviews and see that he is a hypocrite in bringing personal beliefs into his practice, sure does make sense with my disappointment with him. He lied, he closed my acct out and sent me to unethical pain mgmt. Why do I say unethical? Because that place told me go Skype with Canada to get my pain meds. He refused to refill my prescription for xanax, knowing I was 1000 miles from home, yet chose to refill my Protonix. He has never been compassionate nor has he shown empathy for my several ongoing diseases. Heart disease is severe, yet when your primary care doctor refuses to supply a 30 day refill to get home, that in itself is a lack of compassion! He expected to me to find a new PCP, yet I could not, because the doctor I wanted to see refused me? Why ? Because he is SMMC and he tried to get a Deaconess Doctor. The insurance is no help. Being disabled at 42, I found he judged me at every turn, physically hurting me, to shake my hand, knowing full well I have a shoulder year and seriously, if you want an OBGYN, don't see him, because his personal beliefs have entered his practice. I Will never AGREE that PERSONAL ISMS such as the birth control should never enter the practice! His Hypocritic Oath to serve all is quite questionable!

Dr Blanke is great. He is knowledgeable and caring . he takes his time with you- is genuinely interested in you and your best life. He will work with you if you have a different idea on your healthcare. Some of his staff not so much. It seems you have to tell them they need to send your results and check all your vitals - don't seem to be very enthusiastic or motivated. He does try to pick up their slack it seems. Love Dr. Blanke-- wish some of his staff had the same dedication and enthusiasm that he does.

I love Dr Blanke, my adult kids take their children to him too. Couldn't ask for a more compassionate physician. Had his staff praying for my husband one time when he was dealing with very bad depression while he was in the exam room with him. I love that!!

Dr. Blanke is GREAT!! However, he tends to run a little late, but I think this is mainly because he wants to make sure he answers all questions and concerns for each patient. He is extremely gentle and friendly. He is also VERY intelligent. He is conservative in his treatment. He does not believe in doing anything unnecessary. That is one of the reasons I like him. He is also strongly grounded in his faith. After delivering my daughter, he took the time to pray with all three of us (my husband, baby, and I). I greatly appreciate and respect him on all levels!

Decent and respectful but patients should also be aware they will need to do some of their own healthcare legwork and may need to request further testing if they suspect a health care problem

If you are lucky enough to get in to see Dr. Blanke, you will be very pleased with his gentle approach and his integrity. He takes his time with his patients and explains everything very clearly leaving ample time for questions. He is very kind and a dr. you will likely begin to trust right away. He recently managed my pregnancy and helped deliver my daughter. I am a very picky patient and even I was super impressed and comfortable with his services and kindness. He is wonderful!

A wonderful family doctor. Due to deep religious beliefs he does not prescribe birth control, that gave him a 4 out of 5 on helpfulness for my rating. Nice and friendly, he brings a laptop into the exam room with all your info at his fingertips.
