I disagree that he is a good diagnostitian. My grandmother, who was in her early seventies at the time, went to see him because she suddenly experienced vaginal bleeding. He attibuted this to dryness, did no internal examination and performed no tests to verify the possibility of a more serious problem. My grandmother symptoms were signs of cancer. It spread and she suffered unecessarily because Dr. MacDonald neglected to perform a complete examination and to order the necessary tests. My mother also experienced vaginal bleeding after menopause. Her physician (not Dr. MacDonald) checked for cancer right away. Consequently, she was diagnosed early and has been cancer-free for over 5 years.

Very professionnal,helped me with my concerns regarding my injury and the tons of paperwork that comes with this type of work related injury and all the follow ups and when he doesn't have all the answers he refers you to the appropriate specialists...Compassionnate and shows he cares.

I find Dr. Macdonald is a very good diagnostician He is thorough and is extremely good with older patients as well. He certainly gives you his time and effort, and is knowledgeable in anything i have experienced.

I've accompanied my father-in-law and mother-in-law on many occasions since 1993 to see Dr. MacDonald and observed him dealing with them in the hospital as well and have found him to be very kind and helpful and a good listener although a man of few words. Very supportive of requests made to DVA for a veteran.

Takes time to listen.Does not make much eye contact but still feels he is listening to you!Is not scared to send you to specialist if needed.This makes you feel very good since it will get to the problem! Very good knowledge! I am completely satisfied with this doctor!
