I went to her for a check-up. She was very thorough and ordered some tests for me so she could investigate my issue further. While she is very educated, she is extremely stern, doesn't make you feel comfortable and has absolutely no "bed-side" manor.
She ordered an echo for me and I went back for a follow-up. She read me the technical terms that were found in the echo summary and started to move on to the next issue. I stopped her and told her that I don't know what any of that means. She said "basically your heart's not working right." I was expecting a simple explanation regarding valves or chambers. I have never been more offended by a doctor. I will never step foot in that unwelcoming office with disgustingly dirty toys. There are rules and regulations about her practice all over the the glass where the receptionists sit. You can hardly see the receptionist!! Invest in a bulletin board!! I would not recommend her to my worst enemy.

LOVE HER!!! I have suffered with gastrointestinal issues for several years now. Went to a gastroenterologist who did a colonoscopy, told me to take probiotics, and sent me out the door. No follow up. When I described my symptoms to Dr. V, she took blood work, and is sending me for an ultrasound of my abdomen and pelvic organs. She LISTENS! And she FOLLOWS THROUGH! She does not "shoot the breeze" the way some doctors do. Does not engage in small talk. She is clinical, analytical, thoughtful and thorough! LOVE HER!! Highly recommend her!!

Came to NJ from mass. After seeing about 15 doctors, she was the only one that delved into my ailment and helped me. Very caring

Did not return any phone messages regarding a prescription renewal that she forgot to call in to my pharmacy. It took ten days many frustrating phone calls and finally thanks to her receptionist Carmelena who helped make sure it was done I got my thyroid medication. I spent three days without it and was not feeling well

I have been a patient of her for almost 12 years. Few years back I suffered a very uncommon, but life threatening, health condition that had very common symptoms. Dr. Volpicella immediately recognized the potential condition and had me sent to the ER for urgent tests and treatment. It was only there, in the emergency room, that I have witnessed the greatest respect and admiration that the other doctors were giving her in their conversations among themselves or with me. Every ER doc congratulated me for having such a great doctor that was able to see the real risk of my medical condition. So in conclusion, her staff might not be the best, her office is modest (you wont find marble floors there), and she might not have the social skills of a lawyer, but based on my experience, she is a GREAT DOCTOR!!! That's what really counts! Thank you dr. Volpicella for saving my life!!!

I have been to many Family Phys. No one was able to figure out what was going on with me, i recently went to her, she listened to me was very nice and ran tests on me. Called me back with results and instructions and wanted to further test me for more things because she found something in the bloodwork. She offered me to even come back to the office and talk about everyday patterns and may have to switch some things around in life. I thought she was very helpful and understanding..

Never felt comfortable from the beginning. Had seen her approximately 4 times and kept hoping I would experience a positive encounter-never happened! After reading these reviews, I realized other people felt the same way. The reviews confirmed my initial reaction. Not a bad experience, but not what I am looking for. If diagnosed with something serious, I would need to have a better rapport with my physician.

I have had back problems for the past 2 years. Dr Volpicella told me its all in my head and that I am depressed. I still kept on going to her even though she made those comments to me. She is good with illness and such. But don't bother going to her when you have chronic pain or even acute pain for that matter. Its not worth the condescending words or the tears knowing that your own doctor doesn't believe you. Now I have a pain doctor that cares for my pain and Dr. V. only deals with me other ailments.

This doctor's bad impression has stayed with me for years. When I saw her, her manner was condescending and nasty. I was in great pain due to a rib injury and she neither seemed to care nor was interested in hearing about the cause of it. Her manner made me feel embarrassed and as if I had done something wrong. I was relieved to read reviews of her manner on this site, confirming what I had thought about her. Never went back.

I have been going to Dr. Volpicella for about 10 years and I always thought she was knowledgable, understanding, and good in explaining things in detail to you. However, the Staff is the WORST women ever. They are always rude and impatient and it's as if though they are doing you a huge favor. They need to cut down their social conversations and pay attention to the patients more. They definitely lack good manners and professionalism. If Dr. Volpicella had a NEW STAFF her office would be better off.
