The front desk staff is awful. They refuse to help, and then sit and whisper to each other and laugh.
The doctors are pretty decent though.
Perhaps the doctors should reconsider who's representing them at the front desk.

This is review only with making an appointment over the phone. I've recently made an appointment for my husband and myself and called two consecutive days in a row. I was very pleased with the staff that I spoke with. Both Lorraine and Donna were very helpful. The first call was taken right away (I called right before they closed) and then next day I waited about 10 minutes. Since they use a central phone number for appointments and contacting each office, that can add to the wait as well. Although, at least the system gave you updates on your place “in line” as well as an option to call back. Both Lorraine and Donna were very helpful. They didn’t rush and answered all my questions. It was greatly appreciated that they took the time vs. treating me as just another number. I also had all the information they needed and was able to get an appointment right away!!! Hopefully my appointment will be just as good of an experience.

Dr. Lynn Flagg has been my family doctor for the last two years, since the Bull Run Woodbridge office has opened. I LOVE my doctor. She is knowledgeable, yes, but more than that she seems to truly care about and sympathize with me. When I first visited I was still reeling from a tragedy and my subsequent actions and she insisted that I make an appointment with her just to talk. Our appointment lasted an hour and she got the most thourough history I've ever given to a doctor. I didn't feel rushed and I felt like a huge weight had been lifted. I will do everything in my power to keep Dr. Flagg as my general practitioner for myself and my three year-old daughter (who also adores our amazing doctor). I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Flagg to anyone looking for a new doctor. Thank you!!!!

I went to see Dr. Flagg today because of an allergic reaction that I am having on my skin. From the very beginning I should have knows this was a bad decision. Trying to get through to make an appointment was horrible. Once I arrived at the office the male nurse was VERY RUDE, he does not even look you in the face, very unprofessional and customer unfriendly. Once I saw Dr. Flagg, she was very rude, as if I were wasting her time. She told me my allergic reaction "just happens" AND that I need to go home and figure out what I am allergic too. No suggestions what to do for my hives, itching NOTHING. It is HER job to figure out what is wrong not my job. I would NOT recommend anyone to visit this office. From the very beginning it was a horrible experience.

WOW, I can't see how this group has a 3 rating, I am a nurse and I can tell you that it is the most unorganized, rude office I have ever seen!First you will wait hours on the phone. Just try to call you will see, push the option to speak with someone you will be 25th in line, and they don't return phone calls for hours. If you are sick you can wait until the next day. The staff is rude from the moment you walk in, no warm fuzzes here. Yes they do have a lots of doctors but they don't know you! Don't expect a relationship here. Good Luck if you go with them. I have found another doctor and am so happy should have done it sooner!

Elizabeth McMahon (Nurse Practitioner) is the rudest provider I've ever seen. I recently had an appt w/ her to discuss an abnormal radiology result and to get a referral for another test I now need. Our appt was brief as I knew she couldn't tell me much until I have this other test performed. I only asked her to tell me the date I last received a specific vaccine and the date I'd had a specific test performed. She reluctantly looked through my chart for the answer and with an attitude said she "had other patients to see". I'm an easy going patient who doesn't have a lot of questions! I'm sure most patients in my shoes would've had a lot more questions given my abnormal results. How dare she verbally express her annoyance w/ me (esp after they called me back 30 mins late!)! She has absolutely no bedside manner. Also, it took a wk for her nurse to even call me w/ the results and I know they had them prior to this due to nature of the results and the protocol of the radiology facility.

I rate the practice a 4 out of 5 stars. For such a big practice, it's run well. The staff are as helpful as can be, from the call in for the appointment to the check out process. people may complain because they're so busy, but ask yourself WHY they're busy. There are many other offices one could choose, but I'll stay with Bull Run, thanks.

Dr. Lynne Flagg is the reason I continue with Bull Run Family Practice. She asks the right questions, then actually listens to my answers. I've lived in Prince William County for over 30 years, and have seen several local doctors, but Dr. Flagg is the best. The first downside is dealing with the telephone system. Making an appointment by phone has never taken less than 30 minutes of waiting time. The second downside is the front desk and nursing staff, most of whom are disinterested, rude, and a poor reflection on the entire practice. To be fair, a few of them have been helpful and efficient, but they are the exceptions. Too bad the office and phone staff isn't more like Dr. Flagg. I highly recommend her to friends, but always caution them to (1) expect a long wait on the phone and (2) don't take it personally when the nurses are rude -- they're rude to everyone!
