Dr.Varallo always listens carefully, never rushes, asks questions and is genuinely concerned for the well being of his patients. His office staff is helpful, friendly and curteous.

The "Unhelpful" rating is to reflect his office policies, not his medical care. GM/Delphi Health Insurance (only administrated by BC-BS) only covers 5 office visits per year per FAMILY with a $25 co-pay. For a family of 5, that's 1 visit each! After that, there is no benefit for office visits (full co-pay). Because I have a chronic illness, he wants to see me 4 time/year. The office policy is for co-pays to be paid at time of visit, or a %20 surcharge is added. But because a co-pay amount is not specified on the BS-BC card, they will not accept any cash from me. They then submit to BS-BC, and subsequently send me a bill, boosted by 20%. I pay 20% MORE than someone WITHOUT health insurance. These policies went into effect in 2009. I appealed to the office manager (Mrs. Varallo) to no avail. I am now reluctantly looking for a new doctor.
