I love Dr. May but he has become way too busy. I feel like when I need something, Sunday, his nurse, is very slow getting back to me and sometimes I'd really like to talk to Dr. May, not her, but that is never an option. I understand the process; however, I think you should have access to your physician when you are stressed and concerned about an issue. When the "next available" is 16 months!! away, that's too busy! Panhandle OB-GYN needs to hire more doctors.

I have been going to Dr. May for about 3 years. I had to have a hysterectomy due to endometriosis. I was very scared about the surgery. Sunday (his nurse) hugged me and assured me it would be ok, that I was in the best hands for this surgery. Dr. May also assured me that everything would be ok and told me about the surgery he would be doing. I was very impressed with his knowledge and the time he took to make sure I was a little more at ease about it. The day of surgery went great! I was in little pain, and the incisions were tiny. The healing process was great and fast. A few months after the surgery I could not see where the incisions were. I would recommend Dr. May to anyone! Panhandle OBGYN is wonderful and very compassionate.

I have been a patient of Dr. May's for about 4 years now. He is a fantastic doctor. He is very low key and relaxed and I think it helps keep you calm when you want to freak out about something! He has delivered my first two children and is currently taking care of me for my third. My second and third pregnancies are high risk. The front office staff is organized and friendly. His nurse is amazing, responsive and very warm. He is a very popular OB in the area and if you deliver at BSA, his name will be on the majority of the patient rooms in the OB ward, but he has been available for both of my deliveries. He just has a very calm, warm, friendly way about him and you never feel rushed or herded through like cattle. I highly recommend him and his staff.

I really liked him. I hate going to the doctors and I was terrified about my pregnancy but they made sure that I had an amazing experience. I called and asked way to many questions but they were always patient and willing to help. I had a c-section and was worried because I was previously scarred there to a surgery I had as a small child but it fixed me up and I came out with a much better scar..what are the odds :)? It all worked out beautifully with a beautiful incision and a beautiful healthy baby girl!

Dr. May is a very caring physician. I feel like he listens to me and really wants to answer any questions I have. His nurse Sunday is the reason I've been going to him for the last five years. She is amazing, remembers you, and is very professional. When Dr May was out of his area of expertise he referred me to another physician (infertility). I would say though he is out of town a LOT on hunting trips. If you are wanting to for sure have him for delivery I would seek another doctor. In flexible and his PA Sarah is great as well. I won't mind if I have another doctor deliver my child but some moms wouldn't like that. Front desk staff are nice but can be a bit ditsy. Be patient with them and you will have no issues.

Dr. May is one of the best Dr.s I have ever seen. He was very knowledgeable with all the questions I had. He was willing to take time out his day to make sure I fully understood the procedure (I had a C-section). I would recommend him to anyone just based on his concerns for me and the baby. Great Doctor!

Each time I had a problem he told me it was normal- I had extremely high blood pressure and extreme edema throughout the last half of my pregnancy and he never seemed concerned. I was extremely ill with severe kidney infections for nearly a year post-partum. I would never go back to him or recommend him to anyone.

Dr. May is one of the best OB doctors I've had the chance to see. I would definately recommend him to other women. He always takes the time to answer all my questions, and always has a very pleasant demeanor.
