First of all, this surgeon is amazing. He took the time to listen to me when previous surgeons didn’t. I really felt like he paid attention to my needs, and my expectations; and because of this, I felt I was in good hands. After the surgery , the results exceeded my expectations. I am very happy and very grateful to Dr. Durand for his skill. And his overall very generous and attentive approach. As well, his team merits mention as they took care of me like I was one of their own.

I tried with difficulty to see Dr. Durand when I called his clinic on March 24th. His secretary insisted that they would need to see a report and x ray of my finger problem to be able to give me an appointment. I then gave her my Medicare to get in touch with the Oueen Elizabeth health center for my x ray and report. Then on March 30th, Dr. Durand's other secretary phoned me to say she would not make an appointment because surgery was not needed for my finger issue. She was abrupt. I now have obtained a referral from my primary doctor stating that I would most likely need injection therapy. Dr Durand's website boasts about helping people with their condition, however those 2 secretaries have made it very difficult for me. I have had a painful stiff finger for months now and no help! What kind of a clinic is this? It is just terrible as the 2 secretaries are not doctors and should not be telling people what they need. In this case they did do that with me. I had a right to see this doctor for my condition. I hope he sees my note of complaint. I'm sure he is very good at his profession...

Saw him for a tendon problem. Once he saw it was not a surgery, he wasn’t interested in seeing me anymore. Sent me on my way to find my own hand therapist. Could not be bothered to refer me.
Very disappointing for private care. His secretary told me he made money with surgery so he wasn’t interested in treating me. Very bad.

J'avais une double ténosynovite de Quervain dans chacunes des deux mains.  J'étais incapable de faire mes activités préférées comme jouer de la guitare et ma plus grande passsion la pêche à la mouche.  Même de petites tâches quotidiennes comme passer l'aspirateur ou laver la vaisselle étaient pratiquement impossible.  Vous m'avez opéré à la main droite en octobre 2021 et ensuite à la main gauche en avril 2022.  À peine quelques mois plus tard, après plus de deux ans de calvaire, j'avais retrouvé complètement l'usage de mes mains et donc toutes mes activités.  Je tenais à vous remercier sincèrement pour votre expertise et vos soins qui ont changé drastiquement ma vie.  Merci beaucoup Dr Durand ! —AS
