I just had the absolute worst experience today ATTEMPTING to make appointments for my children for six weeks from now so that they could have school physicals. Not only was I hung up on twice by the receptionist, when I asked to speak to a a manager (Jane) she was completely unwilling to assist me. I am asking for appointments six weeks out, and she can't assist because "there are to many new appointments". How about not accepting new patients when you can't accept appointments for EIGHT WEEKS! When I asked her if the doctor knew that they were literally turning patients away she said that the doctor was aware, NICE. Spare yourself the misery of even trying to go to this doctors office and pick someone else. The staff there are rude, and unhelpful. PICK A DIFFERENT DOCTOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You found a lump on Pam’s neck and after tests you ordered, on Friday June 6, you indicated this nodule on her lymph node, needed to be looked at by a specialist. After researching, Pam called your office with a specialist name, Dr VS Sundrum, and was told it would take 3-4 weeks for your office to complete the referral paperwork! After a call to Humana, I learned the delay was from your office not the insurance company. Another several calls this week to your office staff to try to move the process up, they indicated there was nothing that could be done and that 3-4 weeks for a referral was not only the best they could do but that “everyone waits 3-4 weeks for a referral to a specialist”. How ridiculous is this? A patient finds a lump that could be something serious, including cancer, and the doctor’s office nonchalantly tells the patient sorry, it will take us 3-4 weeks to get our paperwork done before you can schedule a visit with someone who can address the problem. Not good

Every time I say the words "Dr. Mary Scanlon is my doctor." my face lights up. She is a summer breeze and a "white tornado" all in one...greets with a hug then whips right into action. Two years ago Dr. Scanlon helped me through a severe case of shingles and for that alone I nominate her as "Physician of the Millennium". If you have ever had shingles you know your only hope for relief of the screeching pain is your doctor. Dr. Scanlon came through for me when no one else could. I grew up in a small town where doctors made "house calls". When the doctor came to my house, I knew I would soon feel better. That is exactly how I feel when Dr. Mary Scanlon breezes into the examining room to meet with me. Every doctor in America could learn from Dr. Mary Scanlon. She is all about caring for, listening to, communicating with and knowledgeably treating her patient. I feel like I am her only patient and I matter. -buttons-

Dr. Scanlon is a great doctor. She will win you over with her kindness and will make you feel comfortable. She takes time to sit and listen to any concerns and is very knowledgeable. The receptionists there are rude, but I think thats a small price to pay for a good Dr.

Dr. Scanlon is a GREAT doctor. Unfortunately the receptionists there are horrendous!!! They are the most inconsiderate people you should have to deal with when dealing with your health. Dr. Scanlon however will do everything she possibly can to make you feel comfortable and make things make sense when explaining a diagnosis.

Dr. Scanlon knows who I am when I come in so I feel like a person and not a number. She takes time to sit and listen to any concerns I have and asks pertinent questions. The office staff is friendly and helpful. I drive some distance to see her since she joined Dr. Simon but it is well worth it! What other doctor's office has a day where they actually have evening hours for those of us who work! ;-)

Dr. Scanlon is one of the warmest doctors I've ever met. She is extremely caring, always greets you with a hug or a handshake, and genuinely cares about you as a patient. I can't recommend her enough.
