i was referred to this dr. due to his knowledge & experience. went to his office twice and was spoken AT unprofessionally. while diagnosing me there is no eye contact as he was writing something down. then threw my records to the side. no compassion. not sure why he did it was it bec of my insurances or his belief that i shouldnt get pregnant. funny thing is he is known to handle high risk pregnancy.

I was seen by this Doctor in 2003 and was treated very unprofessionally by him because I had medicaid. I was talked to with no respect and was obviously treated different because I has medicaid. I have since went to another OB office and am very pleased with this one!!!

Dr.Strickland saved my babies life by doing an abdominal cerclage. I was hesitant at first because it is a difficult and rare surgery done while I'm about 15 weeks pregnant, but he allowed me to come to his office on several occasions to speak with him over and over about the same questions I had. He was always nice about it and wasn't even offended when I told him I wanted to get a second opinion...oh, and by the way he is the only OB/GYN that does this particular surgery in the area. I couldn't even get a specialist at Duke to take my case. I did have a few complications after the surgery not directly related to the actual proceedure, and Dr.Strickland saw me everyday and did not discharge me home until I felt comfortable. My 2 day surgery turned into a week. He also accepted a call from me after I was sent home because I didn't feel good and made arrangements for me to see him in the office on his day off. I love Dr.Strickland for saving my baby! I'm due in November...thanks!

DR STRICKLAND IS NOTHING BUT A BIG OLE BEAR! HE MAY SOUND ROUGH, BUT HE HAS A WEALTH OF KNOWLEDGE THAT MAKES HIM ONE OF THE BEST SURGEONS IN TOWN. HE IS THE MAN I WOULD WANT IN ANY OB MEDICAL EMERGENCY!

Dr Strickland was my doctor for three years while I was going through infertility treatment. He was extremely thorough and found all our problems quickly. I had three surgeries with him, including a c-section. He is a very straight forward doctor when it comes to speaking with his patients. He doesn't sugar coat things so I think some may take that as harsh bedside manner. I had extensive problems in relation to infertility, as well as a complicated, yet successful twin pregnancy, as well as a loss of twins. If I called his office with a problem or concern, I knew I would be called back in a very timely manner either by him or his nurse. We were very impressed with his extensive knowledge and his treatment of our babies as well as of me.

When I was having problems with pain, he didnot do exam to see what pain coming from. While in ER he did not even have dr exam just sent me home with pain pills. No diagnosis, same thing when went into his office. Very rude, no bedside manners.
