Dr. Kaplan was wonderful with my newborn son and explaining the surgical procedure he needed. My husband and I agree his expertise and knowledge was exactly what we were looking for to put us at ease. The surgery went well and we are very pleased with how everyone turned out. Dr. Kaplan and his staff are cordial, warm, and have answered any and all of our questions. They have returned calls in a very timely manner as well. Couldn't say better things about Dr. Kaplan!!

Dr. Kaplan is WONDERFUL! Before we met him our 6 week old daughter went thru so much....that couldnt be diagnosed with our normal peditrician. After seeing Kaplan once he diagnosed her and took the practical route....after seeing that the practical route wasnt working with her he tried another route....he kept trying and trying to avoid the surgery. In the end, my daughter needed surgery to correct her problem that she had dealt with for 3 long painful months. I am so satisified with Dr. Kaplan and his staff. I would go to him again in a heartbeat! Needless to say, the surgery corrected her 100% and we havent had any issues (almost 4 yrs later). During this process Dr. Kaplan gave us his direct number....months later after the surgery I had a question so I called it and without any hesitation he called back and answered my question no problem. I love this man. Because of him we were able to save my daughters kidney....

Very knowledgeable, but attentive only in case of emergency, after this not caring at all. I was waiting for his call back after the test for months and never got it. Impossible to make appointment with him, he is too busy, I could only get appointment w/ his n/p and the date given was wrong. So, we missed it.

Our experience with Dr. Kaplan and his staff was perfect. We were referred to him after other doctors could not treat our daughter. He always took the time to answer any questions we had. Without him, we would have been in and out of hospitals and her body would have been further damaged by her condition. We highly recommend Dr. Kaplan.

Ok, so Dr. Kaplan is the head of pediatric urology. We're supposed to bow down at that, and acquiesce to his expertise, but here's the truth: he barely looked at my one-year old son before hastily diagnosing an issue that "required" surgery. He was flippant and practically giggled at our concerns and questions. "Oh, c'mon, I do a gabillion of these every year." Well, we have one son, and he has only one penis! I was completely incensed. I did research on the supposed condition, researched extensively and got a second opinion. Luckily, the second doctor was thoughtful, respectful and practical. We were able to fully address the problem without surgery, and, thank God, without Dr. Kaplan. Avoid him if you can. He seems more interested in impressing himself with himself than helping children and educating/advising parents. PS. Dr. Kaplan might want to consider that some parents are as well, if not more, educated than he is, and cut the condescension and God complex already.
