Very rude and unprofessional. He definitely has an ego issue. Got the info I needed but not without a lecture that made absolutely no sense.

Soft-spoken and genuine. Kind and compassionate. Objective and honest. I've been his patient for 18 years as have both my children. He is exceptional. The strange reviews and unhinged ravings of the walk-ins below don't align at all with my years of care under Dr. Benitez-Gomez.

Dr. A. Benitez-Gomez at hilltop medical clinic was the worst doctor I've ever encountered. I went to the walk in clinic and told him my symptoms. He was rude and yelled at me. When he asked who my family doctor was he yelled at me again and said I was lying. He didn't even look at my chart in which he would have seen that I wasn't lying. This man shouldn't be practicing medicine or working with people. He clearly doesn't care about people and their well being. Don't waste your time with him.

My wife ended up seeing this "doctor" and left in tears. He has no compassion, did not listen to her concerns and called her a liar about her medical history. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH HIM

He is a very good doctor, very caring. He was never aggressive or rude to me or my family. We are lucky to have him as a family doctor. If people think that Doctor knows everything and can cure every illness, you are wrong! I rather see him and talk to him than seeing another doctor who gives you unneccesary drugs easily.

The most aggressively rude doctor I’ve ever encountered, regardless of whether you are friendly and polite. Does not listen to the patient’s symptoms. Is a very angry person who has no problem acting out on patients. Both myself and my partner on two distantly separate occasions experienced this bully! Enjoyed inflicting pain with my broken foot! He should be forced to retire from medical practice regardless of the need for doctor’s in this province.

Good doctor. He folllowed up with my pretty usual very mild blood work result on the phone after my appointment, as a walk in doctor. I only swiped my care card with this doctor once, and I felt lucky to get premium care as a first time walk in patient. For 99% of the doctors I saw, they only gave you enough time after you have swiped CareCard with them multiple times. So he took his time to read patients blood work result, so if something arises, he would call you. A very responsible doctor! Considering the goods inflation and the family physicians’ low pay scale, he is still doing what should be done~. I am very happy. Yes, he did make a fuss with my inquiry, but I am okay with that because he was just taking his own precious time educating me of what’s going on, still better than those “only care to swipe your CareCard type of doctor”. Yes, I came out of the room with more medical knowledge and I was happy.

Not impressed. Another Dr. in clinic prescribed Blood Pressure pills 3 months ago. Needed a new prescription from this Dr. (I use the term loosely) and explained my issues. Would not do it and advised to see my personal Dr. I explained she was not available for two weeks. Gave me lecture about BP not cureable and I would have it until I died. Explained how I should take my own BP - both feet on ground, back supported etc. Finally he did took my BP with my feet dangling from the medical bed and no back rest?? Said it was high and to come back and see him in two weeks. Not sure why he wanted to see me as he was not prepared to give me medication. Left frustrated with BP higher than when I went in. Too bad BC has a Dr. shortage

The first thing you hear as this poor excuse for a doctor enters the room is quack quack quack. My daughter was having a lot of stomach issues and the nurse at 811 suggested that she ask the doctor for a referral to the dietician at Peace Arch Hospital for some help with diet. after waiting for quite a few months I asked the office manager what was happening and was told that there are no referrals if someone wants to lose weight. I don't know if there is a language problem or just a lack of intelligence problem but he certainly cannot handle even the simplest request. I shudder to think what could happen if one needed real medical care. Do not understand why he is allowed to see patients.
