I can't believe they still let this idiot still practice medicine. After he did 2 neck surgeries on me that forever changed my life & not for the better I had to have 3rd one in Denver to fix his mess. His bed side manner is horrible as I don't think a person should ever scream at their patient right after surgery. He is an awful doctor and a horrible person. I should've kept walking around with my broken neck instead of trusting this moron I would have been better off!!!!!!!

Without this man my husband would be dead. He never pushed anything but for my husband to get up and get moving after suffering a gunshot wound to the head. Yes he was brutally honest never sugar coated anything or babied my husband which was the last thing any ill person needs. Very disappointed to see so many whiny people trash a good man. Sounds like people need to suck it up or find a new doctor. Thank you all for changing my mind about moving to pueblo. I could never live in a town with so many whiners.

The first clue should have been the rude staff that treat you like either a drug addict or a piece of "__ __ __ __ "! But after meeting Dr. Koons I was well aware that I was not going to get the kind of care I knew I deserved if only because I am a human being! But after reading these comments I can clearly see that I need to find another doctor to help me.I don't think I have spent more than three and a half minutes in his exam room with him. time for him to barely say hello and write my script and ask if i have considered having yet another surgery that will make me worse and experience more pain.I finally decided to go find a new doctor now that I have a different insurance plan that may give me a few more options. From what I hear Dr.Koons is the only option in Pueblo so I pray I do not have to stay here.if any one knows another option and a doctor who cares and is not under investigation please post.I am sure there are hundreds of us who are in the same boat and want out!

It took me 13 years to finally walk away. In those years koons presented himself as being in the know. Then, i presume the pressure from outside factions started to take its toll, along with his age. My fantasy ended today when i got upset, as i had waited nearly two hours in a chair for a procedure. When he said that he had the perfect right to practice medicine as he wished and wasnt going to have just a mere patient telling him how to do it, and if i didnt like it, i can find another doc. Thats when we parted company. Its hard to change doctors after 13 years Its even harder to have a type A personality telling you to your face, if i didnt put forth an effort to get rid of my attitude, i was done. You know what? Im not the **** getting investigated. I have the same pain for years. I wouldnt ask for meds if i didnt need them. I didnt have anything to do with the countless unsatisfactory comments. All i ever wanted was to have some form of quality of life. L. Roebuck

Dr. Koons has had my cousin so doped up she has her 11 year old daughter drive for her! She believes she has no problem and the dr. Has my family convinced she needs all the surgery and meds, he's writing prescriptions to half the people in our home town for up to 350 percocet 30 mg's a month! Who really needs this much dope! Something needs to be done about this Dr. Because he has the town of Pueblo,CO so doped up writing this HUGE prescriptions to most of the patients who have medicaid that $2 for the script, and end up selling them to most of the town!

This is the worst Dr. I have ever, ever seen in my life. He is rude, has awful bedside manners and should not allowed to practice medicine after asking a patient to help him guide a needle into a nerve ending. If you are smart you will not go see this Dr. all he does is keep people doped up and never deals with the patients problems except through drugs. He is awful and I would not take my dog to see this Dr.

The doctors are wonderful but the staff is truly the nastiest people I have encountered in the medical field. They treat everyone equally, like a pesky drug addicted looser that deserves nothing from them. I try not to go to the office, I have a pain pump and that gets refilled at the hospital. I will NOT call when staff is there, I rather leave a message. It's very difficult because I am basically stuck, I live with tons of pain and need good management but I am simply not getting it.
