Dr. Eva Patocka has been my physician for years. She is brilliant, caring and professional. She saved my daughters life by sending her for an emergency MRI that diagnosed an abdominal bleed which required immediate surgery and a lengthy hospital stay. This was after another Devon doctor, who is very arrogant, dismissed her concern and sent her home with a prescription for pain medication.
Grateful forever to Dr. Patocka.

I love Dr. Patocka! Very hardworking and she listens. I’ve been with her a very long time! She’s moved to her clinic in Edmonton exclusively but I’m happy to travel to see her for my medical care. Wonderful doctor and human being. Thank you so much Dr.Patocka, for taking such good care of me and my family all these years… you have comforted and helped us more than you know!

I have been with Dr. Patocka for decades. Lately though, since I've been diagnosed with a chronic illness (she seems to "believe" that it's not a real illness even though I was diagnosed by a doctor she sent me to), she's started treating me like I'm a hypochondriac. She ignores my symptoms, botches lab requisitions, sends me for tests that have nothing to do with my concerns (she tends to focus on what she wants to be concerned about), misunderstands what I tell her, even when I write it down, and is nearly impossible to get in to see in Edmonton, as she only works one day a week and takes frequent breaks from her Edmonton office. Her staff ignore phone messages from patients and faxes from pharmacies. She used to be so good but she's gone way down hill recently.

Have been seeing for 27 years and she is nothing but great. Very thorough doctor, always looks into everything twice and is great at follow ups for information about all tests

she is amazing she also happens to be my grandma she's awesome! she helped my broncitis my broken arm its a shame what people say about her it is a little hard to understand her sometimes but it comes to a great result she's very patient and takes her time to find a result for her patients.

I took my senior mother to Dr.Patocka in Devon emergency. I can't say enough of her attentiveness, passion and easy to talk to. She is one of the best doctors I have met in Edmonton.

I took my senior mother to the Devon Hospital after she had a terrible fall down her stairs. The attending doctor who checked over my mother was Dr. Patocka. She was awesome, knowledgeable, and very thorough. I'm very thankful for everything she did for my mom. Thank you,

Dr.Patocka has been my doctor now for over 20 years and I could not have asked for a better, kinder or harder working doctor! She has been excellent in my opinion and her staff is so kind and friendly too. When I became ill with CLL, Dr.Patocka went above and beyond even calling me from her home to update me on appointments and to see how I was doing!!! She’s preformed routine surgery on me when a cyst burst in my breast with absolute skill and care. This doctor is fantastic and if I could, I would give her 1000 stars. I’ve never felt rushed out of her office, she takes her time with me and she is an asset to Devon and the medical community. I dread the day she retires! Some of these reviews about her are rediculous, in 20 years with this wonderful doctor, I’ve never heard her ever gossip about anyone! She’s a fantastic and very hard working doctor who makes you feel that she is a teammate with you in your health. I’m very happy with my medical care from her!!!

Pretty hard to rate a doctor who is NEVER AROUND then you get stuck with doctor Prince a doctor?? He has no manners he does not allow you to speak so why bother to see doctor patocka?? You just as I wrote get stuck with the other incompetent doctor who has no idea how to be decent we need doctors here not free loading doctors who do not even look at you big deal they take your blood preßure is that a medical???

One of the worst ones i have experienced. I have autoimmune issues and when i became symptomatic after years of remission, I approached her with my concerns. She knew about my history as i always provide that information (reason why i keep as many copies myself). Instead of taking me seriously she sent me to see psychiatrist as she thought i was making it up. Her listening skills are absolutely terrible. After i agreed to see the psychiatrist, who clearly said i was not crazy, Dr. Eva Patocka reluctantly sent me to see a young rheumatologist and she made sure she had implied to the rheumatologist that her opinion was that i was making this all up. Upon that rheumatologist refused to do any blood test and also implied that my symptoms were something i was making up. That same winter i ended up in walk in clinic with bronchitis type of issue and Dr. Eva Patocka was on vacation at the time. They ran blood test for rheumatoid factor among other things and it came back super high and i was sent back to the same rheumatologist ASAP. No apology received, but rheumatologist did order testing and started working on it although this rheumatologist did not get diagnosis right due to lack of testing. Dr.Patocka never addressed my skin rashes i had during summer months despite me showing it and i mean it was severe and she did not do anything about it. I had problems with hormones and not able to get pregnant, she never helped me with that although i asked if i could see specialist at the fertility clinic perhaps as i was thinking of adding another member to my family. On the visits she keeps her nose in the papers rather than looking the patients. She thinks her patients are crazy and i am pretty sure she gossips about her patients behind their back to other patients( I just remember over hearing various things while attending her office). Long story short, I have been diagnosed with SLE and Sjorgens Syndrome after extensive tests by a different rheumatologist and i am receiving proper treatment for it. If i would of stayed under Eva Patockas care, i probably would of ended up dead eventually because in her opinion it is in my head and she does not even bother doing proper testing to try to find out or rule out things. I have never been treated with such disrespect by any other doctor and i would not recommend her to anyone.
