He is pretty down to earth, and never talks down to you. He always brings in books and pictures so that you understand what he's talking about and you have `ownership of your own health'. He never pushes drugs, and when he does he makes sure you know all about them. The only problem is that i don't get to see him as much as I used to with his medical students, although he called me the other day about something & I knew he followed my visit pretty thoroughly even though the resident saw me (who was also fantastic!).

Now that he is a professor at the medical school, people are wishing they would have stayed with him especially given the present options in High River - although he'll still take you, he's just that kind of man. Our family has never received more thorough, comprehensive, compassionate care from another doctor - the University Medical Students don't realize how great a role model he is for them

I had to see Dr. Hagens because my own Dr. was not available to me anymore, and was recommended to me by people in the town office. What a great, personal physician! He is super caring and isn't afraid to go that extra mile for you. In fact, he diagnosed a medical diagnosis that was missed by my previous doctor, which confirms the thoroughness I keep hearing from others. He's no pushover either, and will involve you in understanding what your problem is before agreeing to pills that might not be necessary.

Likely some discussion here about his maybe leaving, but then his office manager says not that she is aware at all. If he ever is, too bad for High River, and too bad for me. He's a great doctor - great with kids and thorough. Some politics in town - I'm sure Okotoks & Calgary would love to have him ...good for whoever gets him if he leaves. Lot's of respect for him here in town - fantastic doctor.

I hear he might be leaving - just another rumor in a small town, maybe. But if he is, it will be the single greatest loss for our community of a physician - all because he is so compassionate, respectful, intelligent, and giving of his time and expertise. His medical students in his teaching say secretly to me how much they like him and learn from him, and he never rushes. He takes out books to teach you what you've got, and how your medicine works for you. Your always involved, and he's always kind. He's also always right, given what people here (and me & our family) experience compared to some other doctors here - who are also good themselves. Lots of health professionals (my wife) see him too because of this. He is very busy, but never lets you feel it.

Dr. Hagens took me aside and challenged me to address some underlying personal issues he thought were contributing to my pain issues. He arranged counselling with a psychologist in his own office for me, free of charge, and has helped me realize the solutions to some problems which must have been so obvious, but not to me then. He fixed my life, my marriage, and my health followed. What a wise and comprehensive doctor - truly `holistic' in his approach to people and to me. My family and I are forever in his debt, although he may never know it.

The greatest Dr. on the planet. When humans eventually colonize the Universe he will be the greatest Dr. in the Universe. Look out Bones, you're being surpassed! Dr. Hagens healed my blindness and raised my great grandmother from the dead! I pray to him daily...

Dr Hagens is a wonderful, gentle doctor who makes you feel comfortable time and time again. He has been my trusted doctor for years and I wouldnt switch now, not ever. He is genuinely concerned about his patients and only cares for the well being, and has never been unprofesional in any capacity. I am proud to say he is my trudted doctor.
