My father was elderly and Bannerman couldn't even read a xray to see he had a broken leg. My poor Dad had it broken for 3 months and he treated him for gout!! I asked to be called, several times,never heard from him. My poor Dad having to put up with un-necessary pain. Don' trust his knowledge.

Dr Bannerman was my family doctor when I lived in Summerland. Now that I've moved away, I miss his caring, assertive and always humble ear when giving the best medical advice. I miss him dearly now that I'm in Red Deer. He is very calm, patient and knowledgeable. It was honestly a pleasure having him as a GP for the time I lived in Summerland.

Dr Bannister has always been right on with his suggestions. He has excellent listening skills and I would definitely recommend him as a family doctor.

Dr. Bannerman seems extremely caring during short office visits, however, when dealing with my elderly father, he failed to do crucial follow up and did not visit him during hospital stays. He can be very impatient and showed little regard for my ailing father's health, as if he'd written him off. He has often acted as if family members are a big nuisance and he has little time for anything that doesn't involve a routine examination. During one conversation about my father's care he sarcastically said to me, "I'm sure you can figure it out." I wouldn't recommend Dr. Bannerman to anyone who is elderly and in need of thorough care in their senior years. His staff can be very curt, too.
