I went to dr for my 1st visit & explained a condition that was unbearable. He said it sounded like IBS.I'm 46 yrs old and know the diff between menstrual & bowel cramps. He ignored my opinion & RX'd Bentyl, for IBS. I took 2 doses and stopped because it made me constipated and worsened the cramping I already had.Went back 1 wk later for next appt and told him about this and he scoffed at the idea & said,"Bentyl doesn't make you constipated."The info that came with the RX said that could be a side effect. He still insisted it wasn't GYN related, even with CT results in hand from my primary care DR saying I had enlarged uterus, he said "it's only slightly enlarged" & proceeded with the IBS diagnosis & referred me to a GI appt over 2 wks away with no concern for the inabiltiy for me to function til then.My prim care dr disagreed and referred me a dif GYN who promptly diagnosed it as adenomyosis. Had surgery and was fine. This DR ignored CT & EVERYTHING I said, even in tears. He's ARROGANT.

I was pregnant with my first child. He was very unsympathetic if I brought any issues/complaints to him, which was not often. I had a pretty uneventful pregnancy, but I did have an ulcer as well as issues with my syatic nerve. When I did suggest to him that I was having pain issues his words to me were "No one said pregancy was easy. I told you the last trimester was going to be hard, you need to suck it up." He did however prescribe a muscle relaxer, but when I asked him if it was going to hurt the baby she said "Yeah! Like I am going to give you something that is going to kill your baby!" Needless to say I left that appointment in tears, but being so far along I didn't want to switch doctors. I would just suggest no one choose him as your OB.
