He has left the area - I'm sure he has retired and has been replaced by Dr. Kanji.

This doctor is the most caring and knowlegeable professsional you will find, his staff are always pleasant and helpfull even though they are always busy and under pressure. Please re rate.

Knowledge...his treatment worked??? What treatment? Pushed meds not help..wouldn't recommend - ever.

He is an excellent physician. I trust him with my life. He refers problems when needed and has access to an excellent network of resources from this rural area of Ontario. He is extremely knowledgable but what is best is that he questions issues and follows up to find out.

The one and only time that I visited Dr. Long was on an emergency visit (he was recommended to me). I was in pain and had difficulty swallowing. His secretary was very rude and seemed ticked off. When I got to see him, he was in a rush and told me that he couldn't see what was wrong with my neck, and that I should go see a dentist. So I paid for an emergency dental visit in Simcoe, and the Dentist discovered the problem immediately and wrote out a prescription for me. I was cured after the meds from the dentist. The dentist could not understand why the doctor could not figure out my medical condition, as I had an infected submandibular gland. The dentist said that anybody could feel it in my neck as it was as hard as a rock. I therefore would never recommend Dr. Long.

Dr long is a good doctor but tends to be in a rush when behind and goes off the subject of your visit easily. He tends to get on one subject and tends to think everything is associated with that, for example smoking. I understand his concern with patients who do smoke, since it is a health risk but sometimes I feel he missed the point of your visit because of this fact.

Dr. Long is very helpful and if he doesn't know about something he will find it out. I have always found him to be on time. His is a very busy practice in an underserviced area

I am surpized with Dr Long's rating. I have found him a very good doctor. We have been his patients for 6 years. He is alwas quick to get you in. Make sure you understood your diagnois and treatment. He takes time to talk with you. He doesn't push you out the door like some doctors. He will refer you to a specialist if you need one. Great Doc J Robinson
