Dr. Hero was very narrowminded, condescending and rude. She really needs to work on her customer service skills and professionalism. I think if you agree with her and nod your head, she is just lovely. The problem arises when you ask too many questions that she feels are "unnecessary", even though it is based on solid clinical information. She does not like that you obtained it elsewhere and she feels threatened when questioned. She saw me only once and was ready to send me with a Rx for something other than my original concern. She had not have enough time to clearly diagnosis and when I called her on it, she got angry. In my opinion, she is a small town, "pill pusher" doctor who uses the "one size fits all" diagnosis. Rather than spend the time listening to your symptoms, testing, and considering all possible tests, she would rather take the lazy way, medicate unnecessarily and call it a day.

Dr. Hero's office is always full of pharmacuetical salespeople and she pushes the pharmacueticals so they must be pretty good salespeople.

Dr. Hero is the best! She is what a doctor should be! I have a lot of respect for her. During my husband's and my appointment my husband was basically telling her that he wasn't willing to do everything she was asking him to do to take care of his Type I Brittle Diabetes, so she stated that he will need to go somewhere else to be seen because if he is unwilling to help himself, she cannot help him. That shows that she isn't the kind of doctor who just takes patients for $$$, she loves what she does. I will NEVER change doctors...since then, my husband has apologized to her and is currently one of her patients. I would STRONGLY recommend Dr. Hero to ANYONE!!!
