My husband suffered with severe sciatica for years, getting no relief after physio, chiropractor, meds etc... . He was referred to Dr Elizabeth Schneider, who after consultation had him booked for surgery within a month.. He had spinal stenosis surgery on April 24/19 and the next morning was up and walking basically pain free! . We travelled home to SSMarie two days later and he is going up and down stairs, walking and feeling no pain after suffering for years. This highly competent, caring surgeon has given my husband a new lease on life, and we will be eternally grateful to her! Thank you so much, Dr Schneider!

I saw Dr. Schneider in 1996 after suffering a brain bleed caused by an arteriovenous malformation. I underwent a 10.5-hour surgery to remove the malformation. I am well today and attribute my good health to Dr. Schneider.

I was sent to her by my family doctor, the only reason I was sent to her I had no feelings in my legs up to my knees. When she introduced herself to me she told me she had fixed many patients with the same problem it is called spinal stenosis and all were ok today, previous to this surgery I had no problem walking .
After surgery I woke up and found a bit of feelings in my legs, after a while they had me walking and I was having walking straight, I have to walk close to a wall if no wall is available I walk like a drunk.
Three weeks after surgery her secretary made an appointment for me to see dr.Schneider , when seeing her I asked her if I'd be walking like this forever she looked at me and said you were a wheelchair case when I took you as my patient.
If you're thinking of her as your surgeon I would do my homework and not depend on the family doctor.

I suffered with a herniated disc in the L4-L5 ,DR. Schneider preformed a bilateral discectomy and laminectomy, 3 weeks after surgery relatively pain free, she was very thorough with explaining the procedure and the outcome, still have numbness in the right toes , with my understanding it will go away but even if don't , it is something i can live with, being able to walk again is making my life that much better/happier, many thanks to DR. Schneider and her staff

I went in to see dr.schneider after being told by another surgeon that my pain was all in my head. She took me in almost immediately and had me booked for surgery within 2 months. Thanks to dr. Schneider I have full use of my leg again and I have feeling back in my toes. It's only been a week since my surgery and I am already 100% better than the day I walked in to see. I was even able to do a full load of dishes with in a 10 min period. Before surgery it took me hours to get threw a load as I could not stand to do them.

A very big thank u to an amazing surgeon.

I am 72 and almost Blind.I have been having severe lower back and leg pain for almost three years. I spent over three hours traveling to Sudbury only to be given a 15 min appointment. Even though she had been given several reports etc. she spent ten min asking me about my total medical history. Then she had me stand on my toes and that was it.She also wanted me to get another MIR yet her own office two months ago when I telephoned her office told me that it was o.k. and the one that North Bay Hosp. was fully acceptable/ WHAT A WASTE OF TIME I am sure that even new Inturns could have done better. Her answer for my chronic pain? NO drugs and sometime down the road consider joining Telemedicine..REALLY???

my husband collapsed at work on may 4 after much testing Dr. Schneider was called in...after more testing a tumor was discovered on his right temporal lobe. May 20 he was scheduled for a craniotomy and it was performed by Dr. Schneider. She had amazing bedside manner when we saw her in the hospital after the surgery she can a spoke with the family not holding information back and answered any questions we had. At the follow up the staff was great and she herself once again answered questions other doctors had beat around the bush with. I think she is an amazing neurosurgeon and would highly recommend her to anyone
