Dr. Lapkass is the best of the best. He did a total replacement on my very active husbands complicated (bone damage from previous accident) knee. After careful rehab he was biking AND skiing that year. Recently I ruptured my hamstring and Dr. Lapkass reattached it. I'm 3 months out and after an abundance of caution and excellent coordination between Dr. Lapkass and my PT, seem like I am well ahead of schedule on rehab goals. I believe he did a flawless job and expect to ski this winter. He is also about the nicest person you could ever meet.

I had dire fear of having my right total knee replacement done knowing what I was imminently facing having both hips with total replacements using another surgeon. Dr. Lapkass made me feel much less fearful. His affable bedside manner was refreshing in a world full of arrogant cold surgeons. He's taken enough time with me at every appointment to make sure I'm knowledgeable and fully understand the procedure, the aftercare, and rehab required. In that he gives each patient his full attention I understand not being seen exactly at the assigned appointment times. I would rather not have a surgeon who watches the clock while he discusses your treatment. I constantly suggest him to persons needing an orthopedic surgeons opinion. While a knee replacement isn't easy my experience was positive because of him and his staff. I had the replacement in May 2015 and now nearing my 5 month mark I'm smiling and appreciate having completed the procedure despite my fears. Thank you AFOC and Dr. Lapkass!

My experience in May of 2015 with Dr. Lapkass on my total left hip replacement was an amazing first time surgery for me. From my initial check in with the admin staff, the highly skilled team at Creekside surgery, my recovery at Forest View, everyone at AFOC is professional, friendly, organized, highly efficient. I have zero pain, no infection of any sort, and am enjoying my new hip with all the activities in work and play. Dr. Lapkass is very sincere, and takes the time to answer any questions that I had related to the whole procedure. He is a GREAT doc.He performed an scope on my daughters hip, where he repaired a tear and fixed an inpingement Fai Cam . She is an athlete , he came in on his day off to do it so she could recovery and return to her sport. He is also just a nice guy!

I have been pleased with Dr. Lapkass, his assistant and staff for many years now. I recently had a partial knee replacement that Dr. Lapkass performed. I have been healing very well. Dr. Lapkass' knowledge and expertise is why I will stay a patient of his. He has a great sense of humor too!

Dr. Lapkass and his staff are amazing! Dr. Lapkass performed laberum tear surgeries and hip impingement surgeries on our daughter for both of her hips within a two year period. He did an outstanding job. After her second surgery she was able to walk and do just about all her regular activities within a six week time frame. Her pain was minimal. I had bilateral hip scopes and bilateral labral tear repairs done in a 6 week period in 12/2009. Dr. Lapkass is compassionate, knowledgeable and detail oriented. He ensures that you understand the procedure and the recovery expectations. The surgeries are performed with exacting care and the followup is comprehensive. I had considered traveling to Vail, CO to work with Dr. Phillipon who is the premier provider for this type of surgery, but I am very glad that I chose to stay with Dr. Lapkass (who studied with Dr. Phillipon BTW). I will be needing to have a shoulder done soon and will be returning to Dr. Lapkass for that procedure as well. As an added bonus, he is also a heck of a nice guy!!

I should have seen Dr. Lapkass 10 years ago when my pain started. He performed a hip scope on my right hip; I'm going to get the left one done in the Fall I'm so pleased with the results. These procedures will likely save me from a total hip replacement later in life (my mom had 3 over her lifetime). Dr. Lapkass is very compassionate and takes the time to explain everything. His nurse, Sheri, is competent and makes you feel very comfortable. A+! The only frustrating part was one person in the front office staff when I first booked by appointment; she was very short with me and did not want to help. The rest of the office staff have been great - don't let that one scare you away! Dr. Lapkass is worth putting up with her!!
