i have been seeing this dr. my whole life and it seems that the older he gets the less concern he has. last may i dislocated my elbow and one my first visit to hom after getting out of the hospital he walked into the room and did an assesment on my shoulder.....not my elbow. needless to say i was not impressed.

I agree with many comments on this site that Whittick often seems to jump to conclusions very quickly. His tendency to spend as little time in the examination room as possible leaves me with the impression that he is mostly focused on making money by moving patients through, not helping me to manage my health. Sometimes this rushed approach leaves me unclear on all aspects of his recommendations to me. Sometimes patients need their doctor to take the time to ensure the patient fully understands all aspects of the doctor's instructions. My efforts to be a proactive participant in managing my health have led me to bring him information that I've found about different health issues I have questions about. His often quick cutoff of the discussion about those issues strikes me as condescending and patronizing. One thing I do appreciate is that Whittick has been very willing to send me to specialists without delay when needed.

I went to this Dr. to as my son had an eye infection. The Dr. came in and wrote the prescription from across the room without even coming with 3 feet of my son. I asked him to check his ears as he had a bad cough etc. he told me that I would have to follow up with his family Dr. and left the room within 3 -4 minute span. We ended up having to go to another Dr. and it turned out he had a ear infection. Not impressed by this Dr. at all.

I had Whittick for many years and never felt satisfied after my visits. Like another person said, he often seems to have his mind made up by the time he walks in the room. I guess this is useful for him, as it helps to get me out the door in a matter of a couple minutes. I always feel extremely rushed. A doctor who seems to be in it for the money (more patients per day = more $$) not because he cares about his patients.

Has generally been friendly and helpful. Has sent us to specialists when needed. Has not followed up with blood pressure concerns. My husbands BP was not even done on his last general medical. He did follow up with us after my husband was seen in ER for heart concern. We must all take some of the responsibility for our own health care and not rely on the Doctors completely.

The practice is for the recepionist to ask why I am seeing the Dr. and he has his mind made up before even talking to me.Will not listen and just doesn't seem to take into account that I may want and deserve some answers. A smile doesn't cure all!!

He was very quick to shove me out the door, before I even finished describing what was wrong. I seemed like an inconvenience to him and he wasn't very friendly. I wouldn't recommend bothering him!

Have had this doctor for many years. Sometimes when I go to see him, I feel he can't be bothered with female problems. When my husband sees him, he has no problems with him. He does not hesitate to refer to specialists if he feels there is reason to refer. I think one has to be very assertive with him, to get your questions answered or concerns addressed.

I have seen this doctor for years he has been more than helpful in finding out what is wroung with myself and my wife. We are both very happy with the treatments we have received.He always refered us to specialists when necessary.He has always been very professional and courteous.
