His surgical skills are not very good. He clipped a nerve during surgery end would not accept responsibility for it and said it wasn’t the surgery that resulted in the worst nerve pain I’ve ever had, but wanted to “explore other possible reasons”. Had to more surgeries by a Hand Specialist to try and repair his damage and it will never be right. His morals are poor, and is a coward. Stay away!

Please see my two yelp.com reviews of Curtis Leonard, Bill Cooney, Peter Holt, Longmont United Hospital, Avista Adventist, and Douglas Hemler (all "near" Longmont, CO). I agree with the reviewer below, that he is a "professional testifier against his patients." He lied like a RUG to subvert a lawsuit (I told about it on yelp.com), but HE will be the big loser in the end, when he stands before Jesus Christ and hears HIM say, "When you did this to Karen (and all of your OTHER victims!), you did it UNTO ME." Those are the scariest words in the English language, and hopefully these doctors will take heed while they can, and repent of all the serious harm they've done others.

Curtis L. Leonard, M.D. is the worst-- he is a quirky , arrogant, weird fellow and he is a professional testifier against his patients. His surgical skills are EXTREMELY poor--and then when there is a problem he runs for cover fearing malpractice. If your case is a personal injury one--he lies to support himself-- in fact his livelihood depends on keeping insurance companies happy-- so he testifies against patients to try to damage their case to satisfy insurance companies and negligent defendants. STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY.

Dr. Leonard really listened to me and help me throughout the whole process of the surgery. My husband also used him for his knee.

Impersonal, general approach, doesn't make eye contact, doesn't take any individual circumstances into account. Staff seems stressed out. Doesn't listen, doesn't care.

the man knew i needed an operation and kept making up excuses why he couldn't do it including saying my blood disease needed to be checked before he did it. i understand that but then i got a pass from my hematologist saying there is no reason not to do it and he still wouldn't do it saying he was going on vacation we asked him to do it before and he said he thinks the blood thing is still an issue. i went to another doctor and got the surgery done in 3 days. with doctor Leonard the process had taken 7 weeks. i talked to my blood doctor after and saw the letter and he laughed saying he told him there was no reason not to do the surgery. and we waited in the waiting room no less than and hour after our appointment time for every appointment. we just wanted the surgery done cause it was hurting and he was more interested in going on vacations.

STAY AWAY!!!! This man did a hip replacement on me and ended up botching it, he denies any wrongdoing and I am stuck with a hip that will need to be replaced in 2 years instead of 20.
