A few weeks back while surfing, I hit my head on the bottom and was temporarily totally paralyzed. Fortunately, I was spotted, bought to shore and then taken to Halifax Health. Tests showed a severe narrowing of my spinal canal between the C3 and C4 vertebra.
I then reached out to Dr. Albert Gillespy. During our first meeting, he ran numerous tests and discussed corrective action to help prevent reoccurrences. He really took the time to explain everything, answer all of my questions and even sketched out exactly what he was proposing. Before our meeting I was very nervous but I left feeling very comfortable.
The staff at The Orthopedic Clinic did an outstanding job working with my insurance company and keeping me in the loop at all times.
Fast forward, I had my surgery and Dr. Albert Gillespy and his brother Dr. Mark Gillespy did an outstanding job! I have had very little discomfort, within a day I was feeling much better and I am on my way to a full recovery. I cannot say how blessed I feel about the care and compassion I received from Dr. Albert Gillespy, Dr. Mark Gillespy and the staff at The Orthopedic Clinic.

Dr. Albert was great! I had great pain in my knee after I pulled it moving furniture. Was first sent to a sport med doctor who gave me an injection for arthritis was good for 3 months pain was worse, then I went to see Dr. Albert he did an MRI (which the other doctor did not do) 2 weeks later I had surgery and PT not good as new but much, much better. Dr. Albert is nice and funny. So you have to wait a little in the waiting room bring a book

I had a carpal tunnel surgical proceedure on my left hand. The first appointment after surgery to have sutures removed I was not seen by the doctor, but the physician assistant. She told me to keep my fingers moving and that I may return to all my activities in life without limitations now that the sutures are removed. The next appointment I had was a follow-up with the doctor. I had complained that I had more numbness and pain in the hand than before the surgery. He was belligerent with me and when I asked about my condition he was yelling at me like I was wrong to have pain? I needed to see him again after therapy. I said that therapy was useful and I was afraid to say anything else-fearing that he would yell at me again. I wonder whether this doctor has severe mood swings, or is a mean person. Now, I need to see a hanmd surgeon.

His patient manners are the worst I ever heard of. I was sent to him for a back injury with ruptured/herniated discs, leaking spinal fluid, etc. I went to him 5 times, always waiting at least an hour past my appt. The last time he was over 3 hours late. He got mad when I dared mention it and all of a sudden I was 100% healed, kicked out of his office and my injury was all degenerative disc disease.
