I had shoulder surgery (rotator cuff repair). I received outstanding service and care! Nearly complete restoration of function...very happy!

Very rude, brusque, and uses profanity. After my first visit he stood inches from my me and said very loudly, "do you understand what the h-e-double hockey sticks (he said the real word) I just told you"? He repeated it again, for good measure, I guess. I saw him for a work comp claim and he never once asked me what I did for a job. He also felt it necessary to tell me I had a bad attorney. Unbelievable! How does this guy have a job?

I had a total knee replacement done by Dr. David Sneller. I had been having so much pain that I was willing to see the first doctor available. That was a mistake. I think he might have been available because people prefer waiting in order to see a different orthopedist. He was very rude and seems to not know how to manage any frustration. Right after surgery I had patient-controlled IV pain medicine. That worked well. The second night I woke up in horrible pain and tried to give myself another dose but the machine had been taken away while I was asleep. I asked the nurse and she told me he didn't think I needed it any more. This was a horrible experience. I complained when he came in but he told me he didn't see why I thought I needed pain medicine. I am now able to use that knee much better than before the surgery, but I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. I have heard other people with the same kind of complaints about his terrible attitude and miserable communication skills. I am surprised he is still a part of the McFarland Clinic because otherwise they seem to have high standards for their doctors.

I had 2 physical therapists recommended further testing of ankle sprain that's getting worse after 3 months, and Dr. Sneller was the first ortho I could get in to. He said an MRI was "fishing for problems" and "won't tell me anything I can't tell from the exam." Seemed put out when I mentioned recommendation from the PTs. Said there was no need for further imaging because there was no arthritis on the x-ray, but the x-ray was from 10 days after injury when I was just starting to weight bear and we're at 3 months now! Ankles aren't his specialty so I felt like since he wouldn't get to be the one to cut, he didn't care about my problem or increased pain. Then he started giving my husband (he was in an arm sling) medical advice for a broken elbow that he had not seen, examined, or looked at x-rays of. Advice directly contradicting the doctors that diagnosed and treated the fracture! Seems very unprofessional & unethical to treat someone with no patient/doctor relationship and no history!

He was rude, and treated me like I was stupid regarding my child's arm injury. The appointment was also pointless because he told me he didn't know what was wrong.

Injured my knee at work. Had n MRI but Dr. Sneller recommended meniscus repair. Had the surgery, still had major pain and physical therapist said there was still trouble in the knee. Dr. Sneller only ordered MRI after 8 mos. and request for 2nd opinion. Found more damage that was not repaired. He wanted to do another surgery. I got 2nd opinion who said "don't let this doctor touch you again". Ended up having total knee replacement, may have been avoided if the original surgery was done properly.

He told me, "I don't know what's wrong with you or why you aren't responding to typical treatment. I can't help you and I doubt anyone else can do anything else for you either. Continue doing what you're doing." I said, "Even though it's not working?" He said, "Yes."

I broke my right arm in 2005, Dr. Sneller was rude and did not listen to me, once my arem was healed my shoulder painful. He did not believe me. After a third opinion, I found out I had inflamation in my right shoulder. The third Doctor was the only one that bothered to take an X-ray of my shoulder.

I was very disappointed with Dr. Sneller. I injured my shoulder while working in a factory. Dr. Sneller made me return to full unrestricted work/duty. He told me if I had any problems with my job to let him know. I experienced a lot of pain in my shoulder and it went up into my neck. I called Dr. Sneller and he had his nurse tell me that there wasn't anything he could do to help me. I got upset with her on the phone. At my next appointment, Dr. Sneller scolded me for getting upset with his nurse. I cried through the entire appointment because I couldn't get anyone to listen to me. I was in more pain than before my surgery and to top it off, I wasn't sleeping and I was forced to work at a physical job before I was completely healed. Dr. Sneller suggested that I find a different line of work. I wouldn't recommend this doctor to anyone.

Dr. Sneller was friendly and helpful. Each step of the way he told me what to expect and worked quickly to manage my pain and relieve stress I was having over my broken leg bones. Aftercare was great too - I highly recommend him!
