Dr. Wasey did my double mastectomy with flat closure (no reconstruction). She did a perfect, amazing job. Really fantastic.

Great experience with this surgeon. Kind, great energy, and willing to listen to outside the box ideas to speed up healing. I had hernia surgery with her and everything went great.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016 and was sent to Dr. Wasey for surgery. She was excellent in looking into my concerns prior to surgery, and I ended up with a lumpectomy and sentinel node removal. About 10 days after the initial surgery I was recalled and told I had to have a second surgery due to not getting clean margins, so underwent a revision surgery a month after the first one. While Dr. Wasey had explained my options in terms of what SHE could do, nobody explained to me that because I had the surgery at the Sturgeon - I would not ever be eligible for consideration for reconstruction at any future date. In fact, I was told that I was simply not the right shape, too fat, and that breast reconstruction is extraordinarily rare - reserved for only the most elite people of the world. It was not until 2 years later when I attended a BRA (Breast Reconstruction Awareness) event that I found out that I was not eligible because of where I had had my surgery. Therefore, I rate Dr. Wasey highly because she is a skilled and compassionate surgeon. But, going in for breast cancer surgery, know that you have no recourse if you want something done other than removal of the cancer. St Albert/Sturgeon Hospital needs to provide breast cancer patients with the services of a plastic surgeon to work alongside Dr. Wasey and others.

An absolutely delightful human being. 10/10 on all counts. I was in today for a somewhat uncomfortable procedure. Dr. Wasey and my nurse managed my questions and concerns with expert precision and a perfect level of compassion. Grateful to be under her care. Glad you stayed in this province despite everything.

One week ago she did my Hernia surgery. From the first consultation to the present time she has been an incredible doctor. Very easy to talk to and is highly professional. My friend recommended her and I recommend her strongly as well.
