RE: Total Hip replacement : From my first office visit to my current 6 month post operation visit, Dr. Jimenez has been fantastic. He took the time to answer all of my questions before the surgery, after the operation and in follow up visits. Surgery was 100% successful, with minimal pain or discomfort. I would highly recommend Dr. Jimenez for anyone considering Hip replacement surgery. His professionalism, attention to you as a patient and advice on the recovery process will make the choice for surgery so much easier. As someone who before this operation had not spent one night in a hospital in 69 years, the fear of the known was high, Dr. Jimenez made the decision so much easier. Chicago - July 2018.

My father asked me to help write this testimonial as he is 80 years old and computers are just not his thing. With that being said the entire Mendoza family is very grateful to have had the honor to meet Dr. Jimenez as he has been a God send to our family. If it were not for him I would not have the honor of writing this testimonial as he saved my dad's life. My dad's story goes back 10 years; while receiving treatment for pain and swelling in both knees in Mexico he caught a bad infection in both legs. He was able to fly back home to see Dr. Jimenez who then told us Dad had a flesh-eating bacteria and needed emergency surgery. Dr. Jimenez was very worried due to my dad’s age this infection was potentially life-threatening and or possibly have to amputate both legs. Dr. Jimenez did an amazing job and my dad's recovery was long and arduous but he was able to fully recover. Fast forward 10 years Dad has severe knee pain, difficulty walking and only wanted to see Dr. Jimenez. Dr. Jimenez told us Dad needed knee replacement surgery as soon as possible. Surgery took place Jan. 2017 and am happy to say that the 80 year old man is doing great and fully recovered. The recovery time was very quick for the type of surgery he had and the scare is beautiful smaller, cleaner then my own scar from an ACL surgery I had almost 20 years ago. We are very impressed with the quality, care from the staff and of the treatment Dr. Jimenez gives his patients! I am proud to say Dr. Jimenez is distinguished by his work, specialty and exemplifies outstanding results.

Thank you,
Jesus Mendoza and family (2 surgeries 2007,2017)

For a very long time, I was putting off issues I was having with my hip. A family members friend had a double hip replacement and spoke very highly of Dr. Matthew Jimenez's work. I am so glad I took the recommendation and I was very pleased with the results of my surgery. I can now do things that I was not previously able to do without pain. I would highly recommend Dr. Jimenez to anyone that is thinking of getting hip surgery.

I am walking straight again for the first time in many years. I always thought my painful slouch was caused by scoliosis, stenosis and herniated discs... problems I do have but seemed to be degenerating over time. Meeting Dr Matthew L. Jimenez was a blessing. One look and he diagnosed my problem as an arthritic hip and recommended anterior approach total hip replacement surgery. I immediately scheduled a date.
Dr Jimenez, his assistant Chelsey and his entire friendly, competent team gave me the confidence I needed to make the decision. That feeling stayed with me during the entire process. There was always someone to answer any and all questions or concerns. Sure there was pain, but it was managed easily and skillfully.
The entire process, starting at Illinois Bone and Joint in Morton Grove - my stay at Lutheran General Hospital (best hospital experience I've had), the follow up home care nursing and physical therapy from Aspire and then the physical therapy at the IBJI facility in The Glen - all, was like a seamless, user-friendly experience.
Thank you Dr J and team. My body's better than ever!

Dr. Jimenez is a surgical genius. He can operate on any extremity. Two years ago, I had a hip replacement due to a fall and consequently had to have both of my knees replaced. Excellent recovery outcome. Now I just had my had operated for carpal tunnel syndrome, it was a total success. My surgical incision is almost invisible. But the best outcome from all of my surgeries, is that I am totally free from pain and have no restrictions. As an important tip, do physical rehab at Illinois Bone and Joint after any surgery. It's very important for best recovery prognosis. I cannot stress enough to anyone who is contemplating surgery, do it. You will be amazed as I was, with the total lifestyle change. I am an RN and have complete confidence he is very smart, kind, compassionate, and has a great sense of humor. Jane Z.

I would not recommend anyone going to Dr Jimenez. He becomes instantly defensive if asked any questions, and is very poor at sharing information and explaining what is going on. I have waited 2.5 hrs to be seen. Most every visit, my chart was "lost" so they just started a new one. My over all rating of him is poor, although I understand he is a decent surgeon.
