Both my wife and I have used Dr. Kazes for years for orthopedic surgical and and non-surgical care. He performed emergency ankle surgery on my wife that required metal plates and screws and resulted in 100% recovery of funtion and no complications 15 years later. I have seen him for a torn achilles tendon, ruptured lumbar disk, osteonecrossis and bunions. He never pushed for surgical solutions and, in some cases when specialized surgery was required, he referred me to another surgeon (a neurosurgeon). I have seen other orthopediac surgeons but none were as pleasant and none took the time to explain exactly what was going on.

casted at hunt hospital by dr. kazes in 1987, broken fibula. follow up visit at his office 6 wks later. no insurance. pd cash. no xray taken before cast removed. slipped and fell approx 1 yr later. broke same bone. salem hospital noted previous injury, phoned dr. kazes to recast and sent me to his office. my sister and i arrived to a packed office. we waited patiently for over 2 hrs. at this point there was only one man left, sitting across from us when another man entered the office. i decided to check with the receptionist to make sure my file was next. i said to her, "could you please tell me how much longer this will be". she very rudely answered, "i don't know. you will just have to wait. you have no other choice" i told her that i had a choice, give me my xrays. she then said to wait, she would get the dr. he came storming into the waiting room, yelled at me, "what's your problem? do you have a problem?"
