I personally did not like Dr. Franco. He seemed to have no personality, and he acted skeptical the whole time he was treating me, almost like I was making up my symptoms. He does not deviate on a patient to patient basis, and he is a "textbook definition" doctor, meaning that he treats each person the same. He acted like just because my symptoms were not exactly like the book described 100%, then I didn't have the sleep disease. As it turns out, I do, which I learned from getting a second opinion. He had no interest in treating me personally based on my symptoms in particular. Rather than listen to how I was feeling, he just tried to lower my medication when I clearly needed what he was given me. I dreaded his doctor appointments, because I felt like I had to "prove" my case the whole time I was there. The sleep clinic staff also gave me instructions that were incorrect, therefore affecting my results. I am thankful that I was able to switch doctors and find out exactly what was wrong.

Very abrupt and rude. Not only does he not sugar coat, he has absolutely no bedside manner. He would tell me my sister (whom he treated) "was going to die any day now" and "i might want to make arrangements to have the insurance companies pay out." When one is dealing with cancer patients and their families (such as mine) perhaps a little patience, compassion, or sympathy is in order. Not in his case--not at all.

He treated my father for Sleep Apnea, COPD and p. hypertension close to 20 years. As a critical care specialist, he is very professional and extremely knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him to any patient. Most doctors give up, he doesn’t.

Dr Franco did not follow-up with patient to make appointment with lung specialist. When I contacted staff about appointment with the lung specialist his staff said it was not necessary for follow-up appoint with Dr Franco. During follow-up appointment with Dr Franco, I pointed this issue out to Dr Franco and he got very defensive. He also stated that if "it was my Dad I would would be more concerned and involved in his health issues". This was the third and last visit to Dr Franco Office. My brother and I go with my Dad on each of his appointments to insure he does get proper health care. I expect a doctor to act in a more professional manner than Dr Franco. Before meeting with the next doctor I help my Dad fill out a 8 page questionaire for sleep disorders. Three visits to Dr Franco office and we never filled out a questionaire for sleep disorders
