In 1982 I was in a work related accident were my right hand nearly completely pulled off. I was taken to UAB Hospital.in Birmingham were I first met Dr. Neimkin and re- ached my hand. It was a 14 hour surgery. If it wasn't for Doctor Neimkin I would have lost my hand. He is the absolute best. Over the past 32 years I have been able to work with my hands and have had very minimal discomfort. I do have arthritis which has caused some pain. The sucess of the surgery far out ways the pain. He is the best there is. I wish he was. h er in Birmingham so I could go asee him. I have much gratitude for him. Thanks from Alan Cunningham in Birmingham Alabama.

I feel very blessed to find a doctor of his caliber that handles workers comp cases. He is an excellent hand surgeon. I had an emergency hand surgery last spring when my thumb was crushed. Dr Neimkin and Jeff came to the rescue and we had a late night hand operation. They were very professional and caring during this extremely difficult ordeal. I highly recommend Dr. Neimkin and his fine staff.

Amazing man! Shoots it straight and does not "fluff" a diagnosis. Tells you the issues and how best to handle it. Humble enough to get second opinions from his colleagues. Total class act. Well worth any wait time you may have> He spends such quality time with each patient that he may run a bit behind, but when you are getting care like this it doesn't even matter. A truly skilled and old school doc. love him!!!

I chose Dr. N because he trained in Cornell and Duke. He is very knowledgeable AND has a caring attitude. Bring a book to read; you may have to wait a while but it is worth it because when it is YOUR turn, he gives you all the time YOU need. He is conservative and does not jump quickly to a surgical fix; with a splint and time my wrist is 95% better and I did not risk any nerve damage via the "knife". DO ask him to use layman language though in explaining your diagnosis. Dr. N also excels in follow-up.

My career was in the USAF Medical Service, where I had a daily direct relationship with our physicians. Our physicians were rated on their performance in different areas of their expertise, with the highest rating being 'Outstanding'. This rating was reserved for those who displayed exemplary service to their patients, and was difficult to achieve. My association with Dr. Neimkin as a patient began in late October when I received treatment for a wound to my thumb, as a result of a table saw mishap. Not only was my care of the most professional manner, but Dr. Neimkin's 'bedside manner' left absolutely nothing to be desired. I was impressed when he said that all his dictation was in the examining room with the patient present. So true! When I learned that he had volunteered and spent time ministering to the earthquake victims in Haiti, I knew that I was a patient of one of the most caring and dedicated physicians I have met. Outstanding!! Thank you Dr. Neimkin.
