I was in a head on collision and Dr. Gilbert was on call at the er. When we met he sayed I needed surgery on my right wrist and was admitted to the hospital the next morning he cancelled my surgery and never gave a explanation. Now 7 yrs later I am disabled because of him. I also broke my ankle in this wreck and he told me for 3 days it was'nt broke and I insisted something was wrong he finally ordered ct scan and it was broke. Well he told me 8 weeks later it was healed and guess what it never healed now I have a non-union fracture in my talus and severe arthritis in my subtalar joint. Now I am stuck with having to have sevaral surgerys and unable to work. He also scheduled me for surgery on my ankle and once again cancelled it. I honestly feel like he done this because I did'nt have insurance even though he was payed in full.

I am an employer and I sent an employee to dr gilbert who had a workman's comp claim. Dr gilbert operated on him twice. He then told the insurance company that the employee could be released to "light Duty". However, since the employee would not get his full pay for alight duty job he held the employee out for another full month. Employers do not allow your employees to use him. He thinks he can dictate what you should pay your employees when they are on light duty. If you try to work with your insurance company and keep your premiums down you will get burned. Dr Gilbert thinks he knows what you should pay your employees.

After Dr Gilbert does the surgery, he has no more concerns for you. He doesn't care about how you are feeling, weather you are in pain or anything else. I got sick from some meds he gave me and asked him to change it. They would not. They said to give it more time. It has been one week since surgery and I am in severe pain. I am sick from the one he gave me. Even though my ins would not pay for it. So the 30 pills that cost over $100 are making me sick and i am bleeding from several parts of my body, which had nothing to do with the surgery so that only leaves the meds. But they won't change tham.
