I'm very happy with the care I received from Dr Berkowitz. I would highly recommend him to friends and family. I feel like I can live a pain free life thanks to Dr B.

He set my 6 year old Daughter's arm wrong and no one in Jersey could rebuild it. We had to have the chief of orthopedics of Childrens Hospital of Phil rebuild her arm. He tried to set it without anesthesia and she was screaming. He said that she would not remember it. Guess what? At age 20, she remembers that torture of age 6. I have no respect for this man. Do not ever go to this orthopedist.

After I blew out my Achilles I thought I was done playing sports for good. I got hurt on a Sat. and he had me fixed the next day. That was a huge weight off me because I did not want to delay the process at all. Through the entire ordeal, him and his staff were great. I never had a trouble scheduling an appointment, and I always felt I was in great hands. I finished PT and have begun going to the gym. I can run again, and it is a huge deal to me. It is all thanks to him and his great work fixing me up. Not only did he do a great job of fixing me, he always made me feel like it was not that bad, and I would be better before I knew it. And I am 4 months out of surgery and running. Dr. Berkowitz is great

He wanted to perform surgery on my mother after she fell off a chair onto her shoulder. He insisted this is the ONLY way she would ever heal, otherwise she will be permantley disabled. We did not like his approach because he was on-call and seemed very angry he got a call to come to the ER. He was so rush-rush. We left the ER, because he wanted to do this surgery in a few hours and did not help my mother out at all. He stormed out of the room when we said we are going to get a 2nd opinion. We went to the Hospital for Special Surgery in NYC a few days later and this wonderful Dr. (Dr. Coleman) looked at the X-ray, examined my mother and he told her to keep her arm in a sling, go for physical therapy, and in about 2 months she would be back to her normal self! Sure enough, she was! NO SURGERY! He said basically there was clearly no way she needed surgery! Just be weary of Dr. Berkowitz. He is very sneaky! Don't trust him! You might not need surgery either.
