Dr. Moore did 4 surgeries on my shoulders. All were for different reasons. Biceps tendon on each first, then rotator cuff on each. I know many people here have posted about poor outcomes , but if you have any type of surgery it is up to the patient to follow the doctor's directions to recover well. On my first shoulder surgery Dr. Moore told me that all the damage is repaired, so I should move it as much as I could as soon as I could. I went to move it the first time and it hurt like hell. So I didn't move it much. When it came time for physical therapy, my excellent physical therapist explained what was going on very well. He explained that for the first month we will just be tearing and breaking up the scar tissue that formed because I didn't move the shoulder after surgery. This exactly confirmed what Dr. Moore had told me. So I worked very hard to first break up the scar tissue and then to get my full strength back. I recovered fully after 3-4 months from the date of surgery. On the second shoulder I moved it the night of surgery. It hurt like hell just like the other had , the first time I moved it, but the second time hurt less and by the second day I was moving it at near full range. The physical therapy on that one took less than a month and I fully recovered in less than 2 months, from the date of surgery. Dr. Moore does excellent work and has great state of the art techniques that minimize trauma while repairing damage. I have always had great results especially when I follow his instructions to the letter. As a patient I have come to realize that when one goes to a doctor, one is forming a partnership with that doctor in his recovery, no matter what one is going to be treated for. Dr. Moore is a great partner in orthopedic issues for his skill in fixing what is broken and knowing what one should do to fully recover, it is up to the patient to follow his advise. But when One does he recovers fully and quickly.

Have had Dr more for several years and multiple operations. Could not found a better doctor, I am 73 years old and officiate 300 basketball softball and soccer games a year for several years. Dr More keeps me going without missing more than a few days after a surgery. He is definitely my go to doctor. Highly recommend him and several of other official friend use him also.

Don’t waste your time here, the input that Moore gives is quick and empty. God forbid you mention getting a second opinion in front of him...

Moore is uncooperative, unhelpful and a waste of money and time. Find better elsewhere

I would go elsewhere, especially if you have athletic aspirations. This guy's time has passed.

I have read the negative reviews here. They are very correct. My experience is the same. Beginning you get smiles though cold and the willingness to solve your medical problem. He was recommended by another doctor on staff. My problem was painful bunions. They say you should go to an orthopedic surgeon for this instead of a podiatrist.. Moore even had a pamphlet in his office about this. You should go to someone who knows what they are doing. He does not. I went a half size up in my shoes. My right foot which was the main problem is bigger and wider than before. I had to give away all my shoes because what I could wear before the surgery, I couldn’t afterwards. They were too tight. I actually measured my foot and it was wider. I told him and he just gave me a smirk smile and said you had a big foot. I saw another doctor in that practice about what had been done. This was almost a year after surgery. His face said it all. He knew Moore had messed up my foot but just said you have to go back to Moore. They gave me back some of my payment the first visit after my surgery. That should have been a clue. One other point. On one of my after surgery visits, the cab driver taking me there got quiet when I said I was going to see Moore. He finally mentioned he heard from others that he was not a good doctor. Now I am looking for another doctor to correct what Moore did. It is so difficult to buy shoes now. I feel what he did to me was horrible and I wish this on no one.

I'm not usually one to do this but doctor Moore has failed on a second shoulder surgery of mine! Iv lifted and played sports my whole life and my mom recommended me to him! I'm now sitting here at 24 years old with 3 shoulder surgerys because the 2 doctor more has done have completely failed and never healed from the start! I switched to doctor Epstein with Tri-County Orthopedics in Bedminster! Fixed my right one and now about to be on my 4rth because doctor Moores terrible skills under the Knife! Not only is this man a terrible surgeon, but he also has an extremely cocky attitude and acts like he talks down to you! He doesn't listen or give advice! He just says you can't lift or play sports for the rest of your life! Now feeling the difference in another surgeon I will do everything possible to save people from this guy!

Would not recommend Dr. More for pediatric sports medicine. He misdiagnosed my son with a condition that had already been ruled out by 3 other doctors. He also told my son, who is 14, that he may have to give up the sport he loves, instead of actually investigating what was going on. I don't feel he has knowledge of the effects that growth spurts can have on teen athletes. Instead, he diagnosed my son with a condition that is pretty rare. He maybe be good for shoulder and knee surgery, but not every day pediatric sports medicine issues.

Dr. More and the entire staff are very helpful and very friendly. He knows exactly what he's talking about and he tells you exactly what you need to know in order to properly recover. I would definitely recommend him to everyone, especially athletes needing to get back into action ASAP.

Well I met Dr.moore about 3 years ago after hearing what a fabulous doctor he was, he was less then pleasant but I didn't care as long as he was going to do an excellent job giving me a total hip replacement. At that time he told me that he wanted me to wait because technology was changing so quickly that if I could wait maybe I could get a hip that would last me for the rest of my life. In September 2015 I saw him again and he told me to come back in a year in which I did and at that point I was beside myself in pain and he looked at me and said, "why did you wait so long to come back to See Me?" I replied, " because you told me to come back in a year", at which point he reviewed my x-ray and said it was time to do the replacement. I proceeded to surgery to schedule my surgery which was then scheduled for January 16, 2017. So as the months went on the pain increased tremendously to unbearable. In December 2016 I did all my pre-op tests as required, in which I was cleared for surgery, then a week and a half prior to surgery attended a mandatory hip surgery class. Three days later which was FIVE days prior to my long awaited surgery, I had my scheduled pre-order surgery spot. With Dr.moore, he walked in the exam room, sat down, with his normal stern, unfriendly face and said, "I can not do your surgery on Monday because there was an accusation that you smelled of alcohol", I said you are kidding me and he replied that no he wasn't. Now for starters, I don't drink and even if I did I was never told that I couldn't consume alcohol prior to surgery, and I am 49 years old and alcohol is not an illegal distance, and who the heck would show up at a required surgery class at noon drinking? A bum on the streets in the city perhaps but not me, oh and by the false accusation was made by a total liar who happens to be the director of physical therapy at hunters Medical Center. I was absolutely beside myself, I have been suffering for three years awaiting this surgery and if he didn't want to do my surgery that was his choice but to wait until FIVE days before my surgery to lie and say that I was smelling of alcohol is not but inhumane, this is just heartbreaking and now I have since found a top orthopedic doctor elsewhere that is #1 not a liar and positively a obviously better doctor and person than Dr. Robert Moore, I thought that this is needed to be known for anyone considering choosing him as a doctor, he is pathetic and is as I would consider lucky that I haven't filed a lawsuit yet!
