The pain in my left leg is gone. Third spine surgery and the best to recover from. Even some friends of mine had surgery from him and we all agree he does what needs to be done

Dr Charest is the absolute best. He is attentive, compassionate, empathetic and willing to do whatever he can do to help his patients, Dr Charest gave me back my life after other surgeons refused to look at all my imaging and consider all symptoms. He is everything a surgeon should be- and in addition to being a world class surgeon, he is a genuine and caring human being. He truly is an Angel on earth.

Had multiple advices from numerous doctors about my herniated disk. When I called to follow-up on my scheduled operation, an incompetent secretary answered the phone to tell me about my condition, arguing at first I didn't even have an herniated disk although I've been living in pain for the last 5 years. When I mentioned having actually seen a neurologue about it and my latest MRI, she changed her story saying it's tiny and insignificant so they won't be operating. I don't know about the doctor's skill unfortunately as I couldn't get the care I desperately need but if it's anything as his secretary, mediocre doesn't even describe it.

Dr. Charest saved my life !
When I met him I was about 2.5 years into my fight with a neurological condition that wouldn't kill me medically however made me wish I was dead.
I was in a dark place, and on the verge of giving up I had seen doctor after doctor who all said they same thing. They couldn't help, or they told me they didn't know while looking at me like I was insane. When I went for my first appointment in moncton I truly expected it to result exactly the same.
But...
Dr. Charest listened to me for real, and he didn't look at me like I was crazy. Infact he believed me, he had compassion, and empathy for my situation, and most importantly he knew how to help. When I left my consultation with Dr Charest I left with somthing I had not had in a very long time I left with hope.
My circumstances were not perfect infact they were not even good , nothing was showing on my scans so my options were limited. I could live the way I had been or take a chance I wrestled with this idea for months my biggest fear was having brain surgey for nothing.
In the end I took the chance, I had the surgey, and Dr.Charest found exactly what he was looking for. Taking away my pain, and giving me not only my life back, but my children their mother, and husband his wife.
This man is truly the embodiment of what a doctor should be humble, compassionate, educated, and straight to the point. He didn't just stop treating me after surgery instead he took care of my post op care personally mangaing my medications from out of province .I never once felt uncomfortable, unheard, or rushed when speaking with him, and he never tried to sway my judgment.
If you are lucky enough to be under the care of Dr.Charest rest assured you are in good hands .

I had a sist growing on a nerve and pushing on spinal cord. Once he got involved it was no time and I was under the knife.He removed it. Still have pain once in awhile. But nothing compared to what I had.
Would and have recommended Dr. Charest.

Dr. Charest completed my herniated discs surgery and I cannot thank him enough. It was 2 years waiting for this surgery and Dr. Charest was amazing. He was so caring and passionate and made me feel like he cared. Anyone who is put in his care and upon good hands. Thanks again Dr. Charest!
