I just had a FANTASTIC Face-Lift experience with Dr. Altman about two weeks ago.

I based my decision to have Dr. Altman perform my face-lift due to the phenomenal breast augmentation he provided me six years ago. At that time he removed and replaced older implants. He has also removed several skin cancers for me over the years. Several months ago, he made a house call to visit my Dad who was too sick to come into the office. I trust Dr. Altman. He is a very brilliant and gifted surgeon. He has an artist's eye. He is knowledgeable and informative, extremely honest, compassionate and caring bedside manner. He takes the time to explain, and he listens to your needs.

Dr. Altman has developed his own very conservative approach to face and neck lifting. He typically performs two less invasive procedures performed in stages, about 1 year apart. It is a two-step or two stage procedure. The first is performed under mild sedation offered by his anesthesiologist. In my case, it only took a few hours and I was up and about that evening and feeling fine by the next morning. I was able to text him with questions and I received prompt responses. He had to remind me not to run errands the next day. The sutures were removed in 1 week after my surgery..

I have a very natural result. If I am interested, I will opt for the step or stage in a year, which is a touch up. It can be performed under intravenous twilight sedation or under local anesthetic.

This technique is a fantastic way to look and feel better with very little downtime. The approach of undergoing two smaller, conservative staged facelift procedures under minimal sedation, as opposed to one more invasive, under general anesthetic, may not be right for everybody, but it was the perfect experience for me.

Lastly, Dr. Altman uses the same anesthesiologists and recovery room nurses that staff Hoag Hospital Irvine, which is right next door. Dr. Walter, my anesthesiologist, was wonderful. He kept me just deep enough during the procedure so that I was relaxed. He called me the night before the procedure and wheeled me to the car with the recovery room nurse after surgery.

Dr Altman is a skilled, and gifted surgeon with a deep compassion for the people he serves. His staff is courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. I simply cannot imagine ever working with anyone else.

Dr. Donald Altman is the most articulate perfectionist, he just performed my implant exchange 2 days ago and he did an absolutely amazinbg job. I highly recommend Dr. Donald Altman for any cosmetic procedure. I would trust him 100% because of his impeccable skill. I am so pleased with my result. My breast turned out better than the first time I had them done from another surgeon 20+ years ago.Extremely happy with my results. His Surgery Center is extremely clean and professional and staffed with excellent Nurses and Anthesiologist. My entire experience was terrific.
