Took my husband to the ER screaming in agony. It was his gallbladder again, we allready had a diagnosis from another doctor and knew we had to wait for this condition to calm down before they could perform surgery to remove it. So we got to the ER, husband screaming like he's going to die and they put us in a room and leave us there alone. I went running into the hall after getting sick of his screaming, and I begged Kinnear to give him something. The nurse gives him pepto...whoopdeedoo..30 minutes later still screaming...Kinnear tells me that they have to wait a certain amount of time to see if he's a drug addict. The only thing wrong with that is the gall stones are allready in his file, I believe the surgery date was allready booked and my husband is the son of an important employee with the health authority and had no known drug issues or evidence therof...HE KNEW ALL THIS and still left my husband screaming. After about 2 hours of this agony, someone finally approved some Demerol.

Seems a nice guy and physician all round, I'd go to him anytime. Has a special interest in genetic alopecia.

I had Dr. Kinnear for my first pregnancy and I did not care for him at all. He was rude and I felt very judgemental because I was a single parent. It's not my fault my baby's father didn't want to stick around. I switched to Dr. Parker when he came to Portage, now that is a wonderful Doctor.

I saw Dr. Kinnear at the walk in. He was ok initially, but when I asked him questions about my medical problem, all he would say was 'go ask your own dr'. I found this frustrating and extremely unhelpful, as I have just recently moved to Portage and was told there WERE NO DOCTORS taking new patients...so now what do I do??

I"m pregnant with my third child, had Dr. Kinnear for the first one, and moved away for the second. I sure noticed the difference! Dr. Kinnear always listens, always has time for me, and always treats everything I say seriously. He had never made me feel stupid, and I'm very happy to have him help me through my third pregnancy. I have always found his to be polite, always shakes my hand, asks how i'm doing. He is a great doctor.

Always helpful. During my pregnancies he was very patient with all my questions and very knowledgable. Dr. Kinnear is great with children. He speaks to them directly and eases their fears. Dr. Kinnear is very through when examining the children and takes his time.
