Dr Valiquette is a very knowledgeable and dedicated doctor. My father was an immigrant that had very limited french however Dr Valiquette treated him with respect and dignity. My father was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer in 2014. Dr Valiquette did everything within his power to try and help in every which way possible including treatment with the newest radiation equipment which were only available at Notre Dame Hospital. Dr Valiquette was always available for my father during this terrible ordeal. He is very honest and direct about the prognosis and never once did he demean my father or our family due to our ethinicity. What is a bit bothersome are people are rating this doctor based on an article whether true or not rather than his profession. There are times where even french speaking or english speaking patients misunderstand or there is a miscommunication. We do not know what transpired there are only two people which is Dr. Valiquette and the patient. That fact that we are calling him a racist or asking to boycott him and his practice is absolutely ridculous. There are doctors that have killed or harmed individuals that are not under public scrutiny and are still practicing. That is why there is the ethics board that looks into this accusations. That being said Dr. Valiquette is a great doctor and I who am an immigrant can attest without a doubt that he has never in all the time he spent with us or my father made any racist or derogotory comments to us.

If you speak don't speak French, theres no point in seeing Dr Valiquette. He will mock you and destroy your papers if your face. Racist Doctor. Liscence should be revoked, because a doctor is there to treat these who need treatment, regardless their nationality­. As a doctor, you vouched to save lives. There's nothing saying you can only save french-speaking lives. What if your son/daughter/mother/father did not speak the same language as their doctor? How would you react if the doctor refused their treatment because they dont speak the same language as the doctor?? Seriously Dr Valiquette, you are less than a human being. You do not even deserve to work with any community whatsoever. All these years of hard work and studying will bring you no where if you have a sh*tty character like you have proved to us.

He disregards his oath with the College des Medcins du Quebec. Lacks empathy and compassion. It requires much more than just knowledge and practice to become a good doctor. It takes a certain character that he lacks. I suggest that a career change would be beneficial for both Dr. Luc and his patients. He would do well in an environment where he does not interact with people.

Disrespectful and a shameful to have a physician who's should refused to speak English, The physician does not show to be highly educated and he should be able to provided health services to his patients, in both languages. If he does not speak English then he should had patients referred to a physician which would be able provided this service.

Unbelievable, total disregard of patients' right. I have been to CHUM and have seen many French doctors who are nice, but not this one! I hope he will be treated accordingly following formal complaints from his victims.
