Dr. REFUSED to believe me when I told him the antidepressant he put me on was giving me horrible side effects. I literally felt like I was going to die and also felt like I was havimg a heart attack. He took away my anxiety meds that were working and put me on anxiety meds that did absolutely nothing for my anxiety but wouldn't listen when I told him. I was having non stop anxiety for the 18 days he kept me in Del Amo Hospital and I did not sleep for the entire time I was there due to the anxiety. He also kept insisting it could not be the antidepressant that was giving me the horrible reaction (I felt like I was put on speed and rolled in cocaine also overdoaing on the 9 medications he had me on) which is Gaslighting by telling me it's in my head and I have no idea what I'm talking about. He then proceeded to force me to keep taking it just at a slightly lower dose..the exact same reactions happened. I told him again and he refused to believe me and he tried again to force me to take it. I REFUSED but he kept trying then tried to immediately put me on something else. I had to refuse over and over. I felt like his prisoner and guinea pig at Del Amo Hospital! HORRIFYING EXPERIENCE

When I told the dr. I wanted to get a second opinion from another dr. and shared the other dr's thinking on trying new, different meds, Freinhar put down the other dr.'s views. In my book, that is a negative because good dr.s should encourage their patients to get a second opinion and and explore other treatment options. He also did not think language barriers can be limit treatment effectiveness. If he cannot communicate to a patient, how can he think he can effectively treat them?
