He is immediately dismissive. thought I was drug-seeking and sent me away! went into the hospital a few days later and had to stay there for two weeks because he said I was fine and seeking attention or drugs.

Saw in urgent care a few times now. Zero bedside manner. Doesnt listen, always appears to be in a hurry to go home, heard him completely belittle and make a woman terrified of her cancer feel even worse for asking a question (before he came to me and belittled me and insinuated I was a drug seeker).

Some of the nurses will quietly say they agree he's harsh and that he's "difficult" and will readily give you the AHS patient complaint line because they're so used to it.. You can tell from the others that back him up it's only because their hands are tied, and they are afraid to say anything negative.

Going forward I will never go to the South Calgary Health Urgent Care for fear of being seen by him. His bedside manner, lack of compassion, caring, and seemingly lack of knowledge (though claiming to go by the "stats and information") is appalling and he almost seems to TRY to humiliate his patients from wanting to ever get help again. There is twice now getting a second opinion has potentially saved me great harm.

Saw dr. Higgins at urgent care. The best thing about dr. Higgins was his nurse who did a more thorough diagnosis than he did. The nurse found some wording in my lungs and suggested an x-ray which is what I was after since I had been coughing continuously for the last week. Dr. Higgins came in after 2 hours of the nurses’ suggestions spent 5 seconds listening to my lungs and said it’s a virus and will go away in a few days. Dismissive, condescending, lacks any listening skills. After 4.5 hours waiting for his 10 second visit, I felt this was the greatest waste of my time and the health care resources in my life. I can’t believe we have doctors like this in our Canadian world class medical system. If our doctors are like dr. Higgins, then I will vote for private medical care. Apathy is not part of the Hyppocratic Oath.

Saw at Urgent Care. Dismissive, condescending, and repeatedly asked why I had come to urgent care (seemed to be implying I shouldn't have bothered). Walked out part way through my asking a question announcing to the nurses I was discharged. I felt humiliated and wished I hadn't gone.

Please don’t believe to what all this doctor said he doesn’t know how to diagnose people I don’t know how he got his license to be honest he shouldn’t be practicing medicine. I went to the Urgency hospital at the se campus and he told me that I had a flu bug which he prescribed me the wrong medication and I better went to the foothills hospital

Dismissive, argues, worst bedside manner. His behaviour is that of someone who is trying to compensate for a lack of knowledge.

Saw in Urgent Care for acute pain. Waited almost five hours to be talked down to and accused of narcotic seeking. Never laid a hand on me to assess me. Condescending and arrogant. Left feeling worse than when I went in. I would not recommend him to anyone I care about.

Condescending, arrogant numpty who accused me of only seeking narcotics to address the pain from a pinched nerve that he believed was just a sore muscle. Thankfully a REAL doctor at the ER was capable of a proper diagnosis, prescribing the right medications and getting me a referral to a neurologist to have my issue fixed.

Dr Higgin is clearly the greatest doctor Dr Higgin has every known. I’m not sure why he is in this field.

Terrible doctor. Asked me condescending questions and completely dismissed what I was saying. He made me feel stupid for even coming and seeking help at the hospital. I left feeling worse than I arrived. I’m so upset with the quality of my visit. Worst doctor I have ever met.

He does not listen. He is dismissive. After one test, he deemed my accute pain in my upper right abdomen to be constipation (I was regular up until he prescribed me pain medication for management before my ultrasound) and cannabis hyperemesis. As a medical marijuana user who uses cannabis for pain, had not smoked during this whole ordeal, and had not been violently vomiting at all, it was the most insane diagnosis I have ever recieved. He told me he knew I was a cannabis user because he smelt it on me, when I told him I hadn't smoked during the past three days, he brushed it off. THEN he prescribed me a laxative (lactulose) after I had told him multiple times that I had a dairy allergy (surprise you can't take lactulose if you have a dairy allergy). He didn't even properly discharge me, as he was upset that my partner and I politely posed questions regarding the diagnosis, he left the room. My partner had to ask the nurse if he had discharged us or was coming back. Avoid this man if you can, and I apologize if you have to be subjected to the same type of mistreatment and unprofessionalism as I did.
