I saw Dr. Riley once. He was dismissive to the point of rudeness. He only briefly looked at my chart, even though I was a new patient, and refused to listen to my thoughts and observations about my symptoms. He seemed rather put out and condescended to me when I asked intelligent questions. I got the feeling he thought I was overreacting. May because I'm a woman? In the end, his diagnosis was wrong--I do have an autoimmune disease--but I had to see another doctor before I was diagnosed and given proper treatment. Based on this experience and the negative experiences of my family members with him, my family refuses to be treated by him. We now see only Dr. Solomon who is a lovely person and excellent an doctor.

saw him once when my most-excellent physician (amy soloman) wasn't available - on emergency. he was dismissive of my input, research, because he had made a diagnosis and that was that. he wouldn't give me the test i wanted, and afterwards it turns out he should have. his touch of medical arrogance makes him a physician i would never go to again.

Dr. Riley is an affable fellow, but too obstinate for a patient's own good. Dr. Riley is too quick to make a diagnosis that in my family's case has been wrong on several occasions. While I sense that this failing is due to his interest in solving a patient's ailments himself, this only slows down the process for a patient that requires a specialist. If you have anything that extends beyond mild ailments I would not recommend a visit.

A nice, patient, and helpful family doctor. He will take the time to verify what he's slightly unsure of. Very into patient choice where a patient wants or asks for it, which works very well for our family.
