My step dad has passed after you and many other health care professionals brushing him off. Not impressed.

Best doctor ever, he is kind and courteous with a genuine empathy for his patients. It's obvious the derogatory comments are written by hypochondriacs

To the last comment. Dr. Scantlebury did the right thing. If you feel like you are having a heart attack call 911 or go to the ER, don't go to a walk in clinic. Of course he sent you next door to the pharmacy, they are the ones with ASA and nitro. Very unwise to go to a cough and runny nose clinic for an E1 emergency. What would you expect him to do? He cant do blood work, EKG or chest Xray, nor could he give you the life saving meds you would need...he could however Stand beside you incase you eventually needed chest compressions.

Horrific experience with this doctor...I felt like I was having a heart attack,
and visited his office as it was close to where I was driving at the time... I'm a patient of this doctor & I went to his office for assistance...told him I was very unwell..felt like a heart attack...he refused to help me and referred me to the pharmacy office nearby that they would help me call 911 ....I could not drive....I was having trouble breathing...he didn't check my vitals...he refused to help...It was frightening...We will be writing a formal letter to Health PEI...to report this matter. It's unreal how a doctor can refuse to help..I would think this type of refusal is illegal. We all know that there is a health care crisis in Canada...but there seems to be no repercussions to how patients are getting treated by their doctors....There are some really good doctors...but there is a shortage of Doctors on PEI ...and major wait times....the care is very poor... I would not recommend this doctor...I've had some heath issues over the years...and he has not addressed it...rushes me out the office...He loves to write prescriptions ...with no followup or referrals.

I went to the walk in clinic I found Dr. Scantlebury very smart he knows his stuff! He treated me for shingles he knew right away what it was! Years ago I had a chest infection and got me fixed up right away. I have read the reviews saying he didn't introduce himself. I knew who I was waiting to see, he has a room full of patients waiting to see him for God sakes! We are so lucky we have a smart doctor taking the time to be at the walk in clinic!! Thank you Dr. Scantlebury you have always helped me when I have been extremely ill!!! Your AMAZING!!

Met him a small handful of times first coming on the island because I needed a prescription refill. He was quick to get me out. Also seemed like he had better things to do. Not only was he unprofessional but the clinic he works on call for as a whole needs to either shut down or start over. I've now been to a different walk in clinic with doctors who actually know what they're doing, and care about what I need. Who knew actually caring and doing your job properly would make people more likely to see you more. Shocker.

He was my doctor in the Sherwood walk in clinic. For the consultation he took less than 90 seconds. He didnt even introduce himself, I only found his name out after calling the walk in clinic. I told him that it was a workplace injury, yet Dr. Scantlebury didn't even ask if I am able to work, if I need a doctor's note, how it happened or what the next steps are regarding workers compensation board. Absolutely terrible service and care.
The only thing he did was prescribing antibiotics and opening the door for me so I could leave again.

I went into the walk in clinic. Just to be told nothing he can do about my perscription cause its controlled Adivan to be exact which I said fine how do I do this. His response idk call the health line or go to the old dr office someone still should be taking care of this. Tried to explain they were not he didn't care. Next I mentioned how my skin has become super senstive for some time and breaking out in a rash with extreme fatigue he legit said take a reactin and walked out of the room to the next patient if he gets payed by patient he sees this explains for the lack of caring listening or compassion and deserves punishment for this complete utter ability to be a human being.
