Dr. Best is a great Dr. She always makes sure any problems we bring to her attention are looked after, either by her or by someone she feels we should be referred to if the issue warrants it. I personally prefer her interest, concern, and involvement in my family's healthcare, much more than some cold unfeeling technical person.

I tried this doctor once because she was closer at the time. Turned out her moving to Port Perry saved my life. I was just told to loose weight and diet. I went back to my old doctor, thank god he took me. Turns out I had the beginning stages of uterine cancer and within 3 months of diagnosis (trips to Sunnybrook, North York General and drug therapy to control bleeding until surgery could be performed) a hysterectomy was done and my weight became more manageable and my energy levels returned. She is very friendly, but dismissive without investigating actual symptoms.

Wait times are long and access is limted. Dr. Best generally takes the approcah of "lets see what happens" which results in multiple trips adding to the frustataion of dealing with her office.

I must have seen a 'different' Dr. Kerri Best during the 3 years I was her patient, based on most of the previous comments! I found her office horrible to deal with and when I actually did get in to see Dr. Best, she was most unhelpful. She would always say she would look into something and never got back to me with an answer. I believe she should spend less time socializing with her patients and more time being their doctor. I have been lucky enough to find a new doctor in the Newmarket area, who is ready to get down to business, rather than being my friend.

Dr. Best is a good doctor and I like that she is reluctant to give prescriptions unless absolutely necessary. She treats my whole family and does it well and with compassion. I will say recently that she has been more difficult to access and that her admin staff are sometimes very short. I too make the 45 min drive to see her (which is a pain). I have only recently considered finding a closer dr due to the difficulty I have seeing her when I really need her.

Excellent doctor, best (no pun intended) doctor I haved ever had. Empathetic, knowledge and takes the time to get to know you and get to the root of the problem. Can't ask for much more and makes herself available even outside of office hours. Very rare. Takes care of our whole family, including our autistic teen son, who she often will go out to the car to give him his flu shot-what other doctor does that? Keep up the great work!

Dr. Best is a wonderful, down to earth Doctor who goes out of her way for her patients. I was informed of her move and never questioned driving over an hour, it is defintely worth the drive to have a doctor I can trust in.

I use to go to Gail Firestone in Mount Albert but I can't stand her and when I tried to switch to Kerri, they wouldn't let me. When Kerri left her practice in Mount Albert, I followed her to Port Perry. I LOVE KERRI! I hate medications and whenever there is a choice (which she gives and suggests), to use natural remedies, Kerri makes me feel like it is okay to try it my way. She tells me the truth and helps make my life as a mom a lot easier! It is totally worth the 1 hour drive and even the wait. I would recommend her to anyone.
