I will make this short and sweet. If I start thinking about my sons appointment with dr Merliss I will most likely have a panic attack. ONE OF THEE WORST DOCTORS IMAGINABLE.Extremely condescending and demeaning. I have been to dozens of specialist for my son in the past ten years or so and have left many of these visits enraged and offended...but the visit with " Dr. Mathew Merliss" not only enraged and offended me, it left me sobbing uncontrollably and also made a huge negative impact on my son, which rarely happens. He has several chronic health condition that make his day to day life a constant struggle. I try my best to keep him comfortable and as pain free as possible, but I can only do so much. This cold-hearted lunatic made my son feel as if there was no remedy for his agonizing pain issues. I apologized to my son for taking him to see this so called "dr". That was definitely our first and last visit.

Dr. Merllis is extremely intelligent and an expert in many areas. His diagnostic skills are second to none. Dr. Merliss is to the point, straightforward and says what needs to be said, which is refreshing. My primary physician says, "Doctor Merliss is the Doctor's Doctor." He's the Doctor other Doctors go to when they can't figure something out. He's been a tremendous help to me as a patient and I would highly recommend him.

Oh my goodness, where to start. This doctor cannot remember what happened from visit to visit. The terrible part about that is he writes it all down and the INCORRECT information ends up in your medical files. How do you correct that? He perceives any questions as a personal attack on him. He diagnosis everything as psychosomatic or PTSD. I'm not sure if he actually knows neurology because he spent all of his time with me in psychology. His personality is unstable as he scolded me harshly as well as demeaned me over and over (had a witness in there). Then he'd say "we are going to start over" and you'd think he was finished reaming you -- and he'd start in all over again. I left crying with my husband wanting to knock him out. Nobody who is sick and in need of a doctor deserves the stress of his inaccuracies and insults. If I was severely depressed, I would have gone home and hung myself. Can't forget the fact that he did write an lab test, couldn't get it, IT DOESN'T EXIST!
