Awfully long waiting time. Has about as much bedside manner as a teaspoon. Diagnosed my mother with an incurable disease and basically just didn't give a darn about that fact. No information on resources that might be helpfull in the future or any offer to follow up to see the progression of the condition. Wouldn't recommend.

J'ai été reféré au Docteur Chen par un ophtalmologiste pour une maculopathie cellophane, et après avoir effectué des recherches j'ai appris que ce docteur a déjà été radié pour 3 mois pour fraude. Alors j'ai changé de médecin car je ne peux pas avoir confiance en ce genre de personne et je comprends les commentaires mentionnant que ce médecin est à l'argent.

Dr Chen performed 2 photo coagulation treatments on both eyes. My retinas were on the verge of detachment due to holes in both retinas. He diagnosed me with retinopathy of prematurity. He operated the same day but still needed two more treatments to stabilize the condition. Great doctor! Needs to improve his wait times. I spent three hours in his waiting room on my second appointment,

Dr J. Chen has been my doctor for 25 years. I am a juvenile diabetic and was referred to Dr Chen because another doctor did not do his job, I was in need of a vitrectomy due to a major bleed in my left eye, which was causing blindness. Although I never did regain my sight in my left eye, Dr. Chen took such good care of me by keeping a close watch on my right eye and making sure I received the proper laser treatments. He never took a chance with overdoing treatments since that could have also caused further bleeds. Dr Chen has always done a great job, he has an incredible talent for his job - he is a real expert. He gave me peace of mind and took away my fear of going completely blind and you cannot buy that in a store. Dr Chen office was always open to me in case anything went wrong, such as more internal eye bleeds. He never told me I had to wait to be seen or to go elsewhere. He was always there for me. For any of you reading this, please understand that for the other patients who wrote that Dr Chen is arrogant or rude or cold, that is not the case at all. It is simply that Dr Chen is very overworked and has so many patients to see and he wants to bring his very best attention to everyone's eye problems. You need to see past the facial exterior. His job is a complex one and he has many people to deal with everyday. One man, too many patients, he is trying. His job is helping people, everyone needs to remember that when they start getting impatient. I will never forget what he did for me and keeps doing for me - Priceless! --KE

Dr Chen was arrogant, rude and dismissive. The whole experience of waiting in his office, interacting with his staff and finally seeing him was very unpleasant. And to top it off, he charges an extra fee over and above the provincial health plan. If you have the option of going to another doctor, take it.

Dr Chen ne communique pas. Vous n'aurez pas l'heure juste. Clinique exécrable. Attente interminable. Ils sont beaucoup à l'argent. On vous chargera pour des goûtes occulaire que vous n'aurez même pas besoin. $$$$$$$$ Personnel désagréable. J'ai détesté l'expérience, même si j'ai dû y aller plusieurs fois. La pire place selon moi.
