Dr. Salberg is an excellent neurologist!! Goes above and beyond for my care. I feel truly blessed to have such a wonderful doctor. I'm sorry some others here have had a horrible experience . Other than long waits, at times, I have nothing negative to say for him or the practice.

This Dr is exactly as described by many below. Sent by my Dr. to this specialist in order to get my CPAP. Instead was bombarded by his standardized questionnaire, a great sales pitch and a quick set of what I can only describe as field tests. After that was completed I was diagnosed with 10 different disorders and ordered 2 medicine changes. The main and most severe being MS. So of course now me and my family are devastated. He orders 4 MRI's, a bunch of lab work and several other tests. I went through them all. Follow up appointment 3 months out. Being I'm worried about my health and future after testing, I called several times questioning the results, praying that I did not have MS. Not one return phone call ever. Go to the follow up appt. same as before..questionnaire, didn't care and some "field tests". MRI's were all inconclusive. Not sure on the MS. Orders more MRI's and other test and diagnosed me with some new disorders. This is only the half of it with this Dr. I am trying to keep this as short as possible but hard. I then went to a different specialist who confirmed my need for a CPAP being that I have the worst form of Apnea. When asked who I had seen previously and I told him he said yeah that Dr. has a bad reputation for running you thru the mill and making as much $ as he can off of you. So after all this I am finally sent to get a CPAP. Before my appointment, I end up in the hospital. After 3 days with 4 Dr.'s I am finally tested and prescribed what I actually needed (CPAP)and was told I had none of the other disorders as told by Dr. Salberg (2 of those 4 Dr.s had the same opinion of him). BTW I was told that insurance would pay all the costs of these tests. Turns out 3 months later with zero bills sent to my home I get a summons and am now being sued. This Dr. is a joke and the whole world should know of his money making scams. If he is known for this, I can only hope somehow he is stopped. I am pursuing an attorney but this guy I guess is notorious for suing and so far having trouble finding representation.

Staff is great, but Dr. Samberg is too into himself. He cares more about himself than his patients. Anyone ever heard of his wondrous golf experience? Lol he thinks he is the best at everything and loves rubbing it in. But I always thought that the patient comes first.... hmmm.

I have been to multiple specialists and doctors and he is by far the worst.

DR. Larry Salberg is an excellent neurologist and is remarkably detailed and thorough in his examination. He may come off strong in the beginning but don't be fulled. He wants what's best for you.

Went to this guy for low back problems. Brought an MRI with, he said it was no good (didn't even look at it) and said we need another one. He also ordered 8-10k worth of other tests to confirm what I just told him. He is after your money. He went from low back pain to depression, to measuring my neck because now I need a sleep study. I told him I have a CPAP machine and have no trouble with that, but of course that was not good enough. Do not go to this money grubbing quack, he will bleed you dry and offer you nothing to help your condition. I want to picket his office to warn others of how he operates. If you go, be prepared for many unnecessary tests, referrals, overblown diagnoses, BTW, he cannot remember what you talked about 30 seconds ago. the old goat is showing definite signs of Alzheimers or similar. Bad Bad "doctor".

Dr. Salberg scares me into thinking I was going to be disabled and assured me again and again that he wouldn't run any tests on me that insurance wouldn't pay for because he knew how to word treatments. He put me through just about every tests that he could and none of them helped. AND insurance dined several very expensive procedures. He had me do a sleep study and I had been certified by insurance for it, but then he added a video feed, after the insurance preregistration. Then I went threw EMG on both legs, the entire area. I couldn't walk for a solidly day. Finally, I ended up going to U of Chicago and had the surgery I needed. That is when all Salbergs bills started to roll in. We ended up settling in court paying over $4800. That insurance refused to pay. I would not recommend him to anyone. He cares more about his own advancement in the medical world and how important he appears to be to all the weary and sick instead of truly wanting to help. And antidepressant too.

This doctor has no respect for his patient's time. Staff tell you an appt time which is 15 min earlier than when you might reasonably expect to get in. My shortest wait to see the doctor was 1 hour, longest was over 2 hours. Doctor may be knowledgeable but he is not prepared for the arrival of patients. He walks into exam room w/o knowing name of patient or why there. He is arrogant and condescending. He orders tests but won't refer to test results/or has no memory of ordering tests or why he ordered them. He does NOT consult with the doctor who actually referred you to his office leaving much confusion when you must go back and forth between offices. He won't actually determine a diagnosis, he just keeps ordering expensive tests which he then NEVER references when speaking with the patient. Last visit - we had completed 2 months of neuropsych testing spending almost $4000 out of pocket. He did not even bother referencing these results when working with us. WILL NOT GO BACK!!!

Worst dr ever! I have no idea what these other people are talking about!!!! He wanted to put my 12 yr old on anti depressants after my son toke him he did not ever feel sad! And ordered a massive amount f tests after telling me he did not believe my sons symptoms were cause for concern. So why so many expensive tests then??? Also pushed for sleep study when I answered NO to all sleep questions. My son never has trouble going to sleep or staying asleep.
