Doctor O'Connell is a nice doctor who cares, but not sure if he always makes the best decisions. The staff is what makes me crazy. They never pay attention to their messages, calls, faxes or whatever you need them to do on time unless you call them and remind them about their responsibility directly. I waited to weeks for them to get back to my insurance for the information they needed from the doctor's office to send me my new meds. They never got back to my insurance till i called the office and then they said we just got the request from insurance! What an ugly lie! It's been over a month now that i want to get a new medication. I would probably change my doctor because of the staff and their irresponsibility.

Found Dr. OConnell to be incredibly driven to find answers. He listens to patients and believes them. I have seen numerous specialists for decades, and I have never found one as determined and respectful as Dr. O'Connell. He really cares.

He a great DR. Very down to earth and nice. His in office test staff also wonderful. Front desk not so sure. I felt like the ethnic person. Speak and just stare at you like an alien. Leave a message no follow up call or return. If you are relapsing Dr. may or may not be informed. Cannot get record info or follow up from referral request. If your in pain or relapsing Dr. needs to know. I thought it was just me but another patient non ethnic said they could not get a follow up after they wanted him as their Dr. Left 3x with staff and Dr. was not told. Patient overload could be the issue. Dr. is not aware. It was upsetting and I had to go. I wish him well.

Dr. John O'Connell is a very respectful doctor. He listens to his patients and treats them well. My PCP referred me to a different nuerologists who specializes in treating patients with only my illness. That doctor has no repect for his patients so I continue to see Dr. O'Connell.
