I am told Dr. Beldan recently retired. Unfortunately, he should have retired many years ago before he 'burned out' and insulted, disrespected and acted dismissively to his patients. He will not be missed.

Dr. Beldin is a not a good doctor! I had an ERM done by him that left me limping for a week and a half. He would as me a question and then finish my answer with what he thought. I found him rude. He missed a critical test for peripheral neuropathy. I went another 9 months before seeing another neurologist. That doctor diagnosed me and now I'm having treatment. Dr. Belden thinks he's SO smart...NOT!!! Go to a different neurologist. Avoid this doctor.

It was very obvious that I was way beyond his knowledge, so he made himself out of a liar on my report, a disturbed ''so called dr.''

After 10 min had passed beyond my scheduled appointment, I asked the receptionist to find out how long it might be before I saw Dr. Beldin because I had another appointment that I could easily reschedule if I was not going to be seen for a while. A short while later, Dr. Beldin's nurse came to get me and right away it was very obvious that she was put off by me. She was brusque and unfriendly and at one point got snippy with me because I didn't understand a response she wanted from me. Dr. Beldin conducted a series of tests on my leg and then quickly told me that there was nothing wrong with my foot. He seemed annoyed and dismissive, and then when i tried to engage him in a conversation about what could possibly be the source of some very intense burning that wakes me up at night and he blurted out "I am not giving you any medication". I immediately realized that he assumed that I had conjured up my symptoms as an excuse to get drugs. I have never had such an uncomfortable experience and I couldn't wait to escape!

I have never felt so dismissed by a medical provider. He runs late and I drive an hour to see him. Was forced to reschedule. He spent under 15 with me, dismissed another neurologists findings of peripheral neuropathy, and when I tried to clarify about the burning pain in my neck and shoulder he literally stated "that's not my job." I was describing numbness of my upper arm and he told me a ridiculous story about an astronaut. I'm not a simple person and it was pretty clear he was telling me I was imagining the pain. I would never recommend him to anyone. Out of curiosity I requested my records and his write up about my visit was sarcastic and flippant.

Dr. Belden was wonderful to me. He was polite and professional. He took my problem very seriously and his office handled everything necessary for me to proceed imediately.

It took me forever to finally go seek help for my constant pain. Dr. Belden was hurried, distracted, dismissive and very cold. I felt like crying and I am a grown woman in my late forties. I wish I never went. He didn't care one second about me as a human being. He barely made eye contact.

Dr. Belden was consulted by medical staff to assess my husband s/p head trauma with resulting severe side effects. Dr. Belden's assessment (for lack of a beter term) was hurried and done in an extremely unprofessional manner. He then sat down and said that this is exactly what is wrong with this country and why our national debt is $17 billion dollars, because people demand unwarranted tests and treatment. He told my husband to go back to work, "full steam ahead" with no restrictions. He said thousands of peoople suffer concussions and everyone thinks that they need special treatment. I(we) were mortified. I was made to feel that we were people who abuse the system. We are in our 50s and neither one of us have ever been hospitalized and we rarely visit our physician or the E.D. I was astonished to see that he is the Stroke Program Director. He needs to be challenged for his behavior and poor medical advice. I will be making a formal complaint with the hospital and/or board.

Not a very good neurologist. Seems to have a very "old school" understanding of modern neurological conditions. This is the type of Dr. who will force a patient to wait until the condition becomes extremely apparent as opposed to a more proactive and diagnostic approach to healthcare. For example, will not order MRI's for many patients with blurry vision because he thinks that MS is typically presented as "pins, needles and numbness." However, MANY MANY patients don't have those signs until after the disease has progressed. Avoid.
