Arrogant man with no understanding of what was wrong. Another doctor had to repair his terrible job. He needs to retire.

It is time for this "surgeon" to retire. I had a tough extraction and he damaged the tooth beside it. I ended up going to Ottawa to have that fixed. Do yourself a favor and stay away. I really wish I had.

This guy doesn’t know how to work with people. He’s rough and rude, doesn’t take time. Use someone else.

I had a great experience with Dr. Buba (was 10 years ago in 2009)

I had 4 wisdom teeth extracted under general anesthesia in hospital.
Was very nervous as this was my very first surgery and it seemed to be a major procedure (my case was a bit more complicated as the wisdom teeth were all impacted and I had kinked nerves on one side of my jaw) but he made me feel at ease and explained exactly how everything would be done. He answered every single question I had and the instructions he gave me were very clear.
His receptionist/assistant at that time was very nice as well.

Surgery was a breeze, the pain was manageable and I healed nicely without any issues.

My regular dentist at Sudbury Dental Group was a complete jerk when it came time to go for a post op checkup. He put me in a lot of pain and I could barely speak as I was swollen, still numb, etc. I had to push him away and made the hygienist finish the checkup/rinse/cleaning and returned to Dr. Buba's office shortly after for the final checkup.
I was greeted by his assistant and she complimented how well I looked and genuinely seemed to care.
Dr. Buba did his final check on me and was pleased with everything.

I remember before surgery, I had really bad sensitivity on one side of my jaw. After surgery, and for the past 10 years, I haven't had a single jolt of pain due to sensitivity issues. I believe he fixed the nerves that were literally in a knot, restricting any blood flow, etc.

If I ever needed any maxillofacial surgery in the future, he would be my first pick.

Great job Dr, and thank you!

This is a terrible dentist. I suffered so much pain after. He is the worst dentist I have ever seen. He is rough and does not care, Do your homework people there is a lot better and kinder out there. I know I had someone else and this person was amazing. Like night and day.

I was referred by my dentist for a possibly tricky extraction. No consultation prior, but it was included in the cost. Does not take interac or credit cards, only takes money order or cert. cheque. Receptionist/assistant was told about my anxiety, they would not consider anxiety drug before. Got frozen, he started pulling, and I started breathing hard. He got huffy, told me to stop hyperventilating, and that "if you're going to be like that, I can't help you... you might want to look at finding someone else." This after he'd started. Assist claimed I never told her about anxiety concern, but she has a very recognizable way of speaking, so it was definitely her (never spoke to another dentist's office in the city anyway). They had no sense of calming the patient. Also he kept saying "I'm not doing anything" right up until he said "You're done" and the tooth was out. Way to lie to a patient! - is that what he considers soothing? VERY BAD EXPERIENCE.

This oral surgeon is great! I didn't have him, but my grandpa did and i took him to the appointment. Because of grandpa's health issues, the dr. weighed the pros and cons and felt that it be better to have grandpa's procedure in the hospital. He made a good call, cause grandpa passed away before the surgery date. They were very understanding and refunded money that was part for the surgery. Excellent staff too!!

Three teeth taken out in 30 minutes absolutly no pain, extremely pleasant experience, considering one tooth was impacted and fused to the jaw. Best care at a dental surgeon yet.
