Terrible and rude
As a truck driver it is hard to make every single appointment, but I try. I drove 14 hours overnight to make the appt. Just to wait over an hour after appt. time, to be then told I was not aloud to be with my fiancé. Appt wasn't long but my fiancé came out visibly shaken and broke into tears outside because all this woman did was gas light her and belittle her, she wouldn't answer any questions and was disrespectful to a first time mother to be.

She was rude, short, and it was just an overall bad experience especially as a first time mother.

My fiancé and I was excited for this appointment to meet our OB and to ask some questions. After waiting an hour after our scheduled appointment time she refused my fiancé to come in with me (and the whole reason he came was so he could meet the person delivering our baby).
Didn't introduce herself so I wasnt sure if I was talking with a nurse prior to getting seen by the doctor (thats how it has been for all my appointments at my family docotrs office) or if I was talking with the actually doctor that was going to deliver my baby. She was not happy that I asked that and from there the appointment got worse and worse. Felt like she was gaslighting me in some personal decisions I had made for the baby that didn't go with the standard "hospital policy". When trying to ask the questions i had perpared for our first visit she refused to answer stating "I'm not here to answer your questions I'm here only to determine the babies health". And that was after only asking one question.
From there I knew there was no way I would feel comfortable with her in the room with me while I was going through the hardship of birth.
I'm definitely switching OBs and even considering switching hospitals so I don't have a chance of having her as an on call OB.
(I will say the receptionist was lovely but pretty much was the only good part of that whole experience)

Found the receptionist cold and task oriented, focused on the computer. Dr. herself cut my bowel during surgery to remove cyst and ovary. Never came to see me when I was admitted to hospital to explain what happened, messed up meds so that they were 3 days post surgical discharge before the request came in (pharmacist helped me best), directive for nurses to remove vaginal packing irrelevant as it was not there, home care neglected and diabetic diet neglected plus no follow-up post surgery appt. Not impressed with her. No post-op appointment set.

Where do I start....

I was referred to Dr. St. Cyr for my pregnancy.  43 years old with PCOS.  I was told by my GP, I had a very small chance of getting pregnant. I was considered high risk for my age, and at the time I started seeing Dr. St. Cyr, I was about 220lbs.  My boyfriend (the father), came to the first appointment and was told he couldn't come into the room because of COVID, even though we all wore masks, she stated she wanted to minimize any potential for germs.  Outside of asking if I could record the baby's heartbeat, he never got the chance to hear it otherwise.  We has to drive from Cornwall for every appointment, but because he couldn't come into the room, I often came up alone.  It had been determined that I had no reason keeping me from a natural childbirth but that I would be induced a week before my due date.

I saw Dr. St. Cyr every week for the last month and with every appointment she would take my blood pressure, and weight and check the heartbeat.  Never any issues.

I had to go to Winchester the night before my induction, so they could insert a balloon to get everything started.  My boyfriend and I went up, and just as I was getting a gown on, and the brought everything they needed in the room, one of the nurses asked me how tall I was.  I advised them I was 5'1" and the next thing I know they're handing me the phone with Dr. St Cyr on the end telling me how sorry she is but she won't be able to induce me at Winchester Hospital as my BMI was over their threshold.  So she ended up referring me to the Ottawa Civic..which is another ridiculous story.

I was 220lbs when I went to see her, I did not gain weight over night.  She never stated she wouldn't be able to carry through with the birth due to my weight.  I did not develop any other health issues during my pregnancy, so other than my age and my weight there shouldn't have been any issues and none were ever brought up to me along the way.

Total waste of time getting used to one doctor just to be handed off to other people I didn't know with nothing more than "I'm sorry".  Am I the only woman who was overweight to give birth???  Should she not have known what their BMI threshold was???  Certainly been an OB for many years, she should have known if that was a possibility and not have waited until the night before my induction to tell me she couldn't do it because the hospital's policy.

Totally incompetent and unprofessional in how she handled my pregnancy.

I would never recommend her to anyone.

Not to mention when I advised her I was coming to the end of my paid days off from work, asking if we could push an appointment until after Christmas. ..which was only a 3 weeks.  She advised me "Having a baby is expensive, there are a lot of expenses - it's not cheap".   I felt belittled and made to feel like whe insinuating I couldn't afford to have a baby

Traveller from out of town, arrived early and was seen quickly. Took the time to ask me if I had concerns, and explained to me what she was doing.

Have to constantly push her to get anything done. Always hours late for appointments. Horrible bedside manner.

This is the worst doctor i’ve ever seen. Always hours late, rushes you through your appointment and doesn’t share knowledge. My baby almost died because of her poor judgement and spent 27 days in the hospital recovering. Avoid if possible.

Dr. St-Cyr is the best gynecologist. I had a couple of surgeries done by her years ago and I couldn't ask better. Had an appointment with her yesterday and she is so knowledgeable, patient and takes time to answer all your questions. I truly recommend her to all the women out there !

I had Dr. St. Cyr for my first pregnancy and delivery and I consider myself so lucky to have had her. She was pretty punctual for me and always available to answer questions. Her and receptionist make a great team when it came to follow ups making sure I got what I needed. I had complications during labor and ended up in OR. It was really scary but she reassured me and my husband during the whole thing and checked up on me the next day and continued to follow up after I was dismissed. I got the feeling that she really cared and did what was best for me and I have full confidence in her. I will see her for all my future pregnancies no question. A. L.

Dismissive out of the gate, she didn't even let me finish my description of what was happening, recommended early menopause as my only option without any discussion on how that will impact my 40 year old body, my sex life, hormones etc or any opportunity for me to ask questions. Hard to rate her knowledge as none was shared. Just a weird very short convo where she just said everything hurts as you get older just end it if you don't want kids.... Receptionist was lovely and followed up several times to make sure I could get in for an ultrasound. I can't picture warm and caring from our brief interaction, that's for sure. Ended up getting much better care from the local sexual health unit to be honest. Now I'm doubting the recommendation she gave but have no way to talk to her about it, so I've essentially wasted a year of my time and physical comfort waiting for resolution. I'll be requesting a different referral from my general practitioner.
